The hotel is located on 25 min walk from train main station but is closed to the church and marktplatz like 3~5 min walk. We lived in second floor and it was cool at night even in the hot summer. The room decoration is old but kind of charming and it was clean and bed was comfortable. The only problem... More

This hotel is situated in the heart of the old town. It is inside the walls so parking is difficult and expensive but you can park outside to deliver your luggage then the public car park is 2 minutes drive away and costs €5 for 24 hours. The hotel itself makes a feature of being old fashioned with heavy oak... More

Many of the reviews on this listing are confusing the hotels. This hotel is NOT located in the old town of Rothenberg! (Apparently there is one there with the same name.) This small family run hotel is actually located quite a bit outside of Rothenberg in a small village called Gebsattel. The lady that runs it is very nice but... More

In the heart of Rothenburg the location was fantastic, the room was a little small and hard to move in with the bathroom sink not in the bathroom but I assume this is because of the renovation restrictions in the town. No breakfast was offered and the internet did not work but even with all of these little things it... More

Our host was very nice and explained to us in German about breakfast and how to contact her. We had the upper room, containing 4 beds. The beds were a bit soft. When we arrived we had 40 degrees weather. At least there were two windows in this bedroom, one in the bedroom and the other in the bathroom. It... More

We stayed in the completely renovated 5 person apartment. It was very comfortable, with a small kitchen, sitting area, large bathroom, and 2 bedrooms; each with a double bed and one with a single as well. Do not confuse this hotel with one by the same name that is right in Rothenburg; this is in a lovely farm town about... More

This hotel tried to be charming: it is small, quaint, with an "old world" charm, but it fails somewhat. It is located within Rothenburg's old city walls so the location is perfect. It is possible to drive up to the front of the hotel and unload luggage, check-in, and proceed to park just outside the city gates, which is a... More

Great hotel in a great location. Rothenburg is a lovely city and the Hotel fits in just lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful making sure we found a decent car parking space. There is no Hotel car park so parking is on the street which wasn't a problem as we were out of season. Rooms were lovely clean... More

This hotel is within the city wall. Parking not so great, but we didn't have a problem, Claudia the hotel owner walked down the street a couple of blocks to make sure we found parking! The rooms were small, but quaint, decorated beautifully. Rooms have everything you need, clean, clean, clean. This hotel is 600 years old and in excellent... More

The hotel provides small rooms, friendly service, a good breakfast, a convenient location, in a historic Rothenburg building. Parking can be very difficulty here, if you don't mind walking a bit, I suggest you consider parking in the large parking areas outside the town wall and walking to the hotel. The Schwarzer Adler is a dream location for walkers and... More
