We LOVED Rothenburg which was enhanced by our stay at Romantik Hotel Markusturm. It's location is convenient to everything in this special town, it's restaurant is delicious, and the staff couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. Our room was unique and full of interesting antiques. Hope we can someday return!

Rothenburg on de Taube is one of the most interesting places I've been and the Romantik hotel only added to our experience. My husband and I stumbled on the place while driving on the Romantic Road through Southern Germany. Rothenberg is just like the brochures - a place where time stopped. We arrived near dusk and the front desk staff...

The people are so friendly! We had a large apartment with a huge balcony. The kids had their own space, we had ours. We had a garage to park our car, too. They helped up park it as well. Nicest people, great place, best location and amazing city. You will not want to miss this place!

The reviews on here are the reason we booked our 2 night stay so thank you! We can only add to the great comments.... the hotel was perfect! It's so beautiful and quirky and is set right near the main square so spot on for exploring every inch of Rothenburg. As soon as we arrived we were offered one of...

From the moment you walk into this charming family run hotel you will be impressed with the friendly and very helpful staff. From parking our car, advice about travel plans to excellent service in the restaurant their commitment could not be faulted. I would recommend at least one evening meal in the restaurant. The portions were substantial, the menu varied...

Rothenburg is a magical place... and a stay at the Romatik Hotel stays aligned with the history, authenticity and fairytale-esque mood of this historic treasure. Our room was comfortable, bathroom was better and larger than most hotels we had stayed in and the breakfast had a choices galore

This hotel was very charming and in a great location - easy to walk all around the town. The building is very cool and has beautiful exposed beams. Great breakfast with some delicious gingerbread-style waffles. They gave us a crib for our baby.

I traveled with my 16 year old son and husband. Location is excellent. Front desk person I think her name was Emina from Sarajevo in Bosnia, she was very professional and knowledgeable. Our suitcases were brought to our room and our car valleyed. Room was good, others next to us were upgrades to wooden floors ours still had carpet, but...

We arrived planning to stay for 1 night but after the first night we cancelled the rest of our plans so we could book two more nights here. Great staff, great rooms, incredible location. We even chose to move rooms on our last night and downgraded from a suite and the cheapest room was just as great!

Stephen Berger owns this hotel and brews his own german beer in a 50-liter soup pot. We especially enjoyed his dark beer - but all 3 were interesting and good. The beer is unfiltered so it's cloudy , but don't let the look of the beer throw you off. All beer lovers should visit.
