The hotel staff were very friendly. The price was briiliant. And the location was great (right in the center). However, the rooms are rather old and missing basic things you would expect in a modern hotel. If you are fine with that, the hotel is great!!!!

I accidentally booked 2 rooms a couple weeks in the future, and when I showed up I explained it to them. They said the "office" would handle it tomorrow. I had to leave early, but they ended up charging me for 2 rooms that night and 2 in the future - end of July!! I would never stay there again or recommend them!!!!

Room was spatious as well as the bathroom and very nice. In center of town. At the time we were there the restaurant didn’t have much choices . Maybe because the main building is been renovated. Highly recommended

Had an absolutely amazing time here at the Hotel Eisenhut! Lovely, welcoming and helpful staff! Room was gorgeous, spacious, thoughtfully decorated and had everything that we needed. Bathroom had a nice bathtub/shower combo. Everything was very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The location was fantastic and in the center of town. Would love to stay again!

Arrived for 2 nights right in the midst of a long festival weekend - which means that the inner part of the entire town is closed off to traffic till at least 6 pm. That worked out fine for us as we came in late. However, the hotel front desk closes around 10 pm, and so we had to make sure we got in on time, and parked at the hotel parking lot - which is a 5 min walk away. Anyways, everything went smoothly - and efficient and friendly service. We had 2 rooms booked - however, we got them on 2 different floors - which was OK with us! It's not a big hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were done up in all sorts of colors and decor. Think of this place like a B&B on a large scale! We did not do the breakfast or eat at the hotel as we preferred to try out local restaurants. The rooms were not up to the standards we prefer. But the beds were comfortable, internet access good enough, the shower was hot and had great pressure, and the staff pleasant, friendly and helpful. The location certainly couldnt be beat. We had a billing error on our room rate, but it was addressed in a timely manner via email.

The 16th Century facade of Hotel Eisenhut really appealed as a symbol of historic German Rothenburg. With a welcoming lobby, original staircase, & many antiques to admire, the hotel is a combination of 4 different buildings which creates a maze involving 2 different elevators to reach our room, part of the fun but difficult with international suitcases. Our 3rd Floor Suite was charmingly hand-painted, quite spacious, overlooking the Tauber Valley with windows that open, & a glorious spa bathroom. Nice Touch--a CD Player with CD to enjoy. Centrally located, and with great breakfast & helpful staff, we had a wonderful stay. In January 2020, not very crowded so very enjoyable.

The hotel is in the heart of the city and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room we had is big and very warm which is important for a stay in a very cold and humid January. The rules of parking on the street are confusing for a foreigner, because they are written only in German and different in every German city, so it is worth paying the hotel garage and let the car in their care. The breakfast is rich and wonderful and also the food at the restaurant is delicious as well. I highly recommend the hotel.

I have waited 10 years to come back to this hotel. The hotel with all its treasures on display in the guest areas still are as beautiful as ever. We eventually got quite a nice room but there some bad ones here. The restaurant and bar service is very poor with lots of untrained staff. The Christmas Eve dinner itself disappointed and fell very short of expectation. Probably good for a one or two night stay, excellent location. Breakfast was good if you get downstairs early.
