Conveniently located within the historic part of the city, the hotel is well maintained and modernised as far as possible. Interesting and refreshing to see 'ancient' tools and materials working fine in this hotel. Neat and comfortable room with soft and warm bed and pillow.

There is no TV in the room, you have to go to a group room and if lucky you can get the remote control first. The breakfast is poor and only had 5 choices. Bowl of jam with cereal mixed in, 4 kinds of quiche (small portions) or a frittata. There are free bottles of wine and water in the...

My partner and I stayed in this hotel and both thought that it was full of character and a great place to stay. The room was clean and even a standard room was large with a huge bathroom. Haribo on the bed each day and a bottle of the house wine on arrival were really nice touches. This is just...

The Petite Orphee is right in the centre of Regensburg so it is very convenient for wandering around the historic part of the city. You check in and have breakfast at the main hotel which is half a block away. Our room was on the second floor facing toward the large square. It was light and airy but also noisy...

We stayed in a small standard room. It was clean and pretty but i missed a comfortable chair to sit and relax. It was not a problem that we had to walk a short way to the main hotel to check in. The breakfast was a disappointment for me. I am used to have great buffet style breakfasts in Germany...

Stayed Saturday and Sunday nights in late August, 2013 and did not experience the noise problem mentioned in some other reviews. The art deco style will be appreciated by many (including my wife) but for me, location, cost, and comfort are the priorities. This hotel mostly met my expectations in those areas. Regensburg is a beatiful historic city and this...

Interesting hotel, decorated with antiques. You check in at the Grand Orphee on the next street, and also have a lovely breakfast there. The Petite Hotel seems to have more basic rooms. Ours had 2 single (very comfortable) beds and no TV. There was no computer for guest use. A bonus was the large balcony, shared by everyone at the...

Great Location in the centre of Regensurg. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon so vehicle access to drop off our luggage was a bit of a problem due to the number of pedestrians. The centre was a lot less busy on Monday morning. We had no problems with noise keeping us awake. Room was comfortable and the complimentary bottle of...

One big word of warning - avoid the front rooms on a Friday or Saturday night. The hotel is adjacent to a nice restaurant which is a club after 10PM. The big pluses, the front rooms overlook a town square. Rooms are quite individually furnished - with Persian carpets, inlaid wood furniture, Crystal chandelier. Sounds like it is all over...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Orphee - Kleines Haus in the Wahlenstraße is only a few steps away from the Orphée restaurant and Hotel Orphée - Großes Haus, which houses the reception of the Kleines Haus. The 15 rooms are arranged individually, featuring antique washbasins and Turkish tiles. The bathroom of one room is hidden behind the cabinet door. The most beautiful hotel in Regensburg perfectly reflects the image of the city itself, inviting and reminiscent of the charm of bygone times. The Orphée restaurant in Regensburg is the most original French bistro east of the Rhine. It serves plain fare with Mediterranean touches and the wines on offer will satisfy even the highest demands. ... more   less
