You would never know how nice this hotel is by the small unassuming sign posted outside. The lobby is also small and plain. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite large and modern, with large bathrooms. Also, the rooms are very clean and mostly quiet, although you can sometimes hear noise from the street. Perhaps the only drawback would be the lack of an elevator. The staff, however, offers to carry your luggage to your room. The hotel is located on a pedestrian street, about a 12 minute walk from the train station, and also about the same distance from the river. Overall, a wonderful hotel in Regensburg.
Staying in the superbly beautiful and ancient city of Regensberg really demands that one stay in a commensurately beautiful building! This The Bohemian assuredly is. The building is early medieval and sits on partially visible Roman cellars. That said, it has been restored with great attention to historical detail yet incorporating 21st Century comforts. The rooms were comfortable and interesting but, as we were there during a period of very high temperatures, it is good we were on the top floor, the only air-conditioned floor. The problem with the top floor (which we were not aware of before we came) is that there is no lift and 53 steps is a big climb for 70+ guests with some mobility issues. The staff helped with luggage but I suggest this problem should be made clear on the website. That said, we have nothing but praise for the staff, their willingness to help and their interest, likewise the hotel itself which is genuine and boutique in nature, and most decidedly the location in the centre of the old town.…
Wanna go with friends to the great "Bürgerfest" in little German town Regensburg - the Bohemian Hotel is the right place to sleep! Super-friendly staff, excellent service at the bar and nice hotel rooms with all what you need. Breakfast has big variety of sweet things, salmon, cheese, ham and all kind of eggs. Great dark German bread, lots of fresh juices and a nice coffee in the sun. Don't miss it when you are in Regensburg next time. We would just loved to have one more big bottle of water in the room for the night.
This boutique hotel is absolutely charming! For an 800 year old building the rooms are beautiful, furniture well suited for the style of the room and bathrooms are modern. Everything was immaculate and the reception was very kind and helpful he helped us with our luggage as there is no elevator. Not having an elevator may be an issue for some but as a family with teenagers we welcome a little exercise. The location was great for navigating the small town and parking was only two blocks away. For the price, value and location we would definitely stay again!
A small friendly hotel near the centre of town. The room and bathroom was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Our room faced the rear of the property and was very quiet. We arrived late at the hotel due to a flight delay into Munich airport. We checked in with the bar staff at the hotel bar Chin-Chin which wasn't a problem at all, and they looked after us very well. Due to the age of the building there is no lift to the 3 floors, that wasn't a problem to us in our 60's but it may be for some less fit, or able persons. The continental breakfast is good and you are able to order cooked eggs etc from the waitress. The hotel bar Chin-Chin is a wine bar with a large selection of quality wines and spirits and serve a great Gin and Tonic. We would certainly stay here if we visit Regensberg again.…
