Instead of sleeping over in a lousy highway motel I decide to leave the highway and enter the beautiful city of Passau at the Danube river. The hotel offers nice, modern rooms. Located on walking distance from the center and located in a quiet area. Price wise it is comparable with a highway motel. That is the only comparison. Friendliness,...

Hotel Spitzberg in Passau is a very nice hotel near the city centre. The rooms are modern, clean, warm and cosy. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful and speaks very well English. The hotel is good located, approx. 5-10 minutes walk to the cente of the city. There is a hotel garage for fee. We were very pleased by...

This is a pleasant hotel only a short walk from the town centre about a 20 minute walk from the town centre. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was at the back of the hotel in a very quiet room facing onto bushes and trees. We were able to have the window open all night without hearing any road...

Maybe we got put in the not-so-great rooms, but they were dark, small, with low ceilings and looked over a driveway with cars. Like everywhere we stayed on this trip, no washcloths or shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms. The location is convenient enough. Front office staff was very helpful and friendly—they seemed like young university students. Meanwhile the ladies...

Cute little hotel. Clean. Close enough to the main sites if you don't mind walking a bit. Nothing else much around it but if all you need is a clean place to sleep, it is perfect. Walkable from train station but up hill. Breakfast is good for the price. They'll hold your luggage for you before and after checkout. Has...

It is a cute boutique hotel, but really just very standard. Breakfast is good and costs 9€. The hotel is about 15 minutes walking from the downtown area. There isn't really anything to do or eat right next to the hotel and they don't have other meals besides breakfast. A cab ride from the train station to the hotel costs...

Large, clean and comfortable room. Wifi works well. Location is not that central, it's about 30 minutes walk from downtown (the description is a bit misleading in this regard). Staff was mostly disinterested. Walls are thin, you could hear talking, walking, rumbling and other noises from other rooms (the "complementary" earplugs prepared should have been a warning.) No fridge in...

I thought this was a great location, not right down in old town Passau, but close enough to walk. We never drove once we got to the hotel. The price was affordable and the room was large and comfortable. We ended up adding another night onto our stay and the hotel staff was quite accommodating. Our room had a shared...

Overall this is a nice hotel. But be careful with rooms on the top floors because there is no elevator. We were puzzled that a four star hotel would be lacking a lift. Also, the bathroom is very tiny. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed in the Spitzberg Hotel for one night. We were emailed the hotel and asked if we can book a night with breakfast and car park and asked for price. The receptionist (Isabell) was very quick, helpful and friendly , answered all the questions properly. I knew from the email that this is the hotel we want to stay...
