We picked this hotel because of its location in the old town area, but away from the main shopping area. It proved a great decision, as we were very close to the action, but well away from the tourist noise. The place is literally 5 minutes or less from everything that you'd want - sights, markets, train station. The staff...

Wanted a local hotel close to Christmas MARKETS this place is great. Very cozy very clean and friendly staff easy walk to the old city, ALTa STADT nice breakfast and friendly. I suggest getting accustomed to no lift, but so what, with all the food you eat, exercise is good. I'd stay here again.

As other reviewers have already noted, the location is very nice, but otherwise this is not a very exciting hotel, although adequate. It took me a while to figure that the hotel was even there, because the entrance you use is for the restaurant and you have to go upstairs to the tiny reception desk. The halls are rather dark...

In the old places the hotel is so convenience. We walked around Nuremberg on foot from the hotel. Especially the old wooden bridge behind the hotel is excellent. the beautiful location! However, there is no elevator in the hotel..and I was tired to go up the our room on the 3rd floor.

Best thing about this hotel is the location. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel is situated close to everything but on the other hand on a quiet square, so you get a good night sleep. The hotel staff didn't leave the best impression, the lady at the reception wasn't very nice. But we stayed only for one night and...

The perfect price and location for a budget-minded solo traveler. I walked from the railroad station and had no problem finding the hotel.Quiet neighborhood. Helpful concierge, large comfortable room with a nice bathroom. Good bed! A nice old world feeling. The restaurant with outdoor seating seemed popular, although I did not eat there. Excellent breakfast, included in room price.

Stay: Late September 2014 The locale of this hotel is perfect for a walking tour of old Nuremberg, being close to the main plaza and sites, the German museum (a must see) and city walls, Durer house, many restaurants, etc. It sits on a small plaza that is not overly bothered by traffic, and is quite close to the subway...

Very helpful lady on reception - she couldn't do enough to help and was very friendly - room was immaculate and one of the best rooms on all of our Bavarian trip - breakfast was very nice too with a choice of scrambled eggs, hams, cheeses, etc. - private safe underground parking for €15 per 24hr was also available -...

Very quaint hotel in a great area. No elevators so might be a problem if you stay on the 3rd floor. Great breakfast with eggs, several types of bread, cereal, fruit. Has Some renovations in the room, flat screen tv and new bathroom facilities.

Before I arrive in Nürnberg I just wanted to go to hotel and have a deep sleep after travelling and visiting many costumers. But when I arrive here I just dropped my bag to the room and walked in the streets even it was raining. City is historical. Also Hotel Merian is. Hotel has nice, clean and comfortable rooms and...
