We checked out 2 hours after checking in. The hotel should not be offering free parking. What they are talking about is a gravel public lot in another street by the railway tracks which is full of old abandoned cars. We didn’t think our car would still be there in the morning or we would find it damaged. The neighbourhood is not nice. There are no close amenities and we didn’t feel it would be safe after dark. When we checked in we were not told that our booking was not prepaid. When we checked out we had to do it by phone as the hotel was unmanned after 3pm. We were not told at that point either that our booking had not been prepaid. Two days later we got an email from our travel agent who advised that the Arthotel had reported us to the police for fraud. We thought this was ridiculous as we were still in Nuremberg and the hotel had easily got hold of our travel agent. The room was pretty average and had mould in the shower. You couldn’t leave the window open as anyone in the adjoining apartment could have climbed in. The path up to the entry was poorly maintained and had grass growing between the pavers. We went and stayed at a hotel near the main station and right beside the old town. Much better location, swimming pool and didn’t cost a lot more. We had booked into Arthotel for two nights and and the hotel refused to part-refund the second night.…
We stopped one night at Nuremberg driving from Suhl to Munich Airport. Picked this one mainly due to the location that is near the city, but also convenient to get in and out. It is a short walking distance from the outer old city, but still very much narrow streets and one way etc. but the building is set back from the street and made it very quiet and cozy. The neighboring area was a bit um....middle eastern feel and the nearby parking was a little sketchy, but worked. We walked to the old town for sightseeing and dinner. Once you get the bearing, it is very easy and I can see myself staying here more than one night. Got breakfast which was good and reasonable. Front desk personnel were vey nice and helpful. As the name indicates, it was artsy. No AC could be an issue but we were OK with rather cool weather.…
The design of the lobby, room, and restaurant is beautiful. The room is quite spacious. I got the room at the corner, where i have to pass another alley which the light was off,and have to switch it on manually. I was quite afraid in the beginning. Another thing is staircases outside the bathroom, which is quite annoyed me. The breakfast buffet was worth of money, which is only 9.5euro. This hotel is near the old town city center. Overall this hotel is good.
I have stayed at the ArtHotel City for 3 nights. Their rooms are nice, cosy and clean. The breakfast offers a wide range of food which you can eat from. There is always coffee and water free to take. It is located quite close to the city centre and train station.
The location could be better. It is a neighbour that has few places to eat or drink nearby, around 21h almost everything was closed. Of course, you can walk 15 min to reach the centre, but I like the idea to have something nearby. The rooms were huge, beautiful with modern showers, however, the wall as very thin, we could listen even to the snower of the people in the next room. Good breakfast and nice staff. The biggest problem was, however, the 'free parking' - I booked this hotel especially because there was free parking. It was, in fact, a wasteland on the back street, behind the train rails, without pavement and that looked very creepy. We were a bit scare to leave our car there..
