Visited during American thanksgiving week. Easy to find and about a 5-7 minute walk depending on how fast of a Walker you are. I walk quite fast even with lugging around a suit case. The train station is basically straight once you are outside the hotel so no worries about turning into side streets. I arrived around 5pm and it’s staffed 24hrs. Easy check in. Got inside my room and it was clean. No issues. Has a safe inside that you can use to store your passport and fits a Nintendo switch and iPad Pro 11 inch no problem. Shower has a rainfall style as well as a removable shower head with strong water pressure. Since it’s an old hotel there are some damages so I did not removed starts for this. There were black marks on the walls from others probably banging and hitting their bags against the walls or whatever and there are stains on the carpet. Bed sheets were clean and no smell to them. I didn’t get any itchy skin so definitively no bed bugs. The cleaning crew arrives at around 630 am to start cleaning the hotel. Breakfast starts at 630am and cost €14. Is good price as it’s buffet style. I find it better to eat at the hotel than getting breakfast at the train station. While it’s cheaper if at the train station if you’re okay with just a small sandwich and a coffee but if you require a lot of calorie intake then I suggest you eat at the hotel.

First of all, for those with huge luggages, definitely not worth to walk from main train station. Stayed here during trade fair and just a few days shy from Octoberfest, prices are ridiculously high for a 3 stars hotel.

However other than the small hiccup during check in, everything was excellent for this hotel. For those used to check in by staff, a little troublesome having to fill up the registration on an iPad. As there is only 1 elevator serving the hotel , it can get problematic in case of more guests but never had this issues for the 2 nights I was here.

The room though small is very decent for solo business traveler with modern set up and a good working desk. The open cupboard for the clothes are just as fine. For me the pillow is good compared to those super flat pillows in other European hotels.

Breakfast was to me a very good spread especially for the hot stuffs as my impression of breakfast in Europe is always cold hams and cheeses.

The location is a good 15-20 mins walk to Marienplatz and I came during a nice weather other than short rain on and off

This hotel is in a good location, just 10 mins walk from the main station in a quietish part of the street. Beds are comfortable and rooms clean although very plain with no tea or coffee making facilities or bottle openers (for the beers they sell in the vending machine). Good showers. The receptionist manages to be both brusque and overfamiliar at the same time, a difficult combination to achieve. I asked to see a copy of my bill before I paid but was told this was not possible unless I went behind the reception desk 🧐. Breakfast is good with a wide selection of good quality items (although I didn’t try any of the cooked stuff). Had a decent pizza for lunch one day from the restaurant which has a few seats outside on the quietish side street, where you can have a meal
or a drink. All in all a bit of a mixed bag - some little touches in the room would help.

Very disappointed with hotel. I was unable to travel to Munich as Easyjet had cancelled my flights due to the coronavirus pandemic – Easyjet gave me a credit note for these flights with no fuss. I immediately cancelled my Vi Vadi Bayer89 booking to allow them to resell my room, which they quickly succeeded in doing. I was hoping that by taking this prompt action I could cut some sort of deal for my, admittedly non-refundable, booking, perhaps a partial refund or some credit towards a future booking. This was quickly refused, with a list of reasons that were absolute nonsense, including
“would love to refund every single guest but we are only trying to save our employees workplaces” – surely reselling the booking and getting both fees helps this more than if I had turned up.
“I should have made a flexible booking” – why sell non-refundable then? Perhaps to attract customers with the lower prices, which are always the prices advertised online.
And finally “You are very right in saying that this is not a normal situation and that is exactly why we can not make exceptions during these times. “ – this is a ludicrous statement – surely this is exactly the situation to make exceptions.
Very poor service from this company – won’t be back

Vi Vadi Hotel Bayer 89 is located at walking distance of München main railway station. Built in 2015 the hotel is non-smoking and offers 80 rooms over 6 floors. Free Wi-Fi Internet. Service is adequate.

Our practical room was adequately decorated & furnished, with a surprisingly good double bed. The room had desk & chair, wardrobe, TV on the wall, and a separate bathroom with washbasin, toilet & shower. The window can be opened. Complimentary 2 small bottles of mineral water. All was very clean.

When you like an adequate hotel and appreciate to sleep in a very good bed, Vi Vadi Bayer 89 the place for you.

The rooms are bright, clean, quiet and modern. Bed and bedding very comfortable.
Minutes from the train station. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. A treat after a long journey. Curb appeal understated but once you enter through the front door I was very impressed.

Stayed here as a family in December. We had two rooms. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very good. Lovely heated floors in the bathroom and housekeeping did a great job. The front desk did a great job and the location was perfect, with a short walk to the train station. What was outstanding was the breakfast. it was beautifully presented and the food was top quality. the lovely lady who managed the breakfast room, did such a great job. Everything was perfect. There was even sparkling wine for breakfast. The whole area was spotless clean and items replaced immediately. She did such a great job and presented us with a basket of beautiful Gluten free bread that was requested. We stayed at 8 hotels during our Europe tour, having breakfast at each one. This was ranked at the top for the quality, variety, great coffee machine, the variety of gluten free bread supplied and the wonderful lady who manages it all. Well done. Totally recommend.

Germany locked down unable to fly from uk, booked through Agoda. Requested voucher or other assistance and hotel refused point blank. I didnt even want a refund, just some flexibility. No Way. In a way I'm kinda pleased as this was the last chicken on the shelf at the time of booking and i wasnt looking forward to staying just needs must. But if I can make one suggestion to anyone considering this hotel, the bigger branded chains have far more flexibility. Keep the money guys you're gonna need it.

This Vi Valdi location is on the Theresienwiese side of the Munich HBF (there are two) is an excellent location to walk to Oktoberfest. 7 min easy to either the fest or the train station/Ubahn. I have walked through Munich and back from here as well, great exercise. The staff is nice and the rooms are clean. They have a very good Euro breakfast to add on and a great Italian Restaurant on-site. You can’t go wrong. 3mins down the block is the parade route for opening of Oktoberfest as well

I really wanted to give this hotel a 5 star because the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. The shower was great.
The bar and restaurant was relaxing and the food in the Italian restaurant was really good. I would recommend eating there.
Location is great, not far from the u Bahn or central station and not fair from the main shopping areas.
Hotel was good value.
The only issue I had was the room during the night was warm and the aircon would not go any lower than the 20 set. It was too noisy outside to open a window.
Just on a note to be aware of there is another vi vadi hotel 10minutes from this one. I made the mistake and tried to check into the other !
However I will stay here again

I chose not to get breakfast at the hotel. I saved money & bought pastries at Rischart in the main train station.

Hello, is the family room actually 2 connecting rooms? Or just one large room?
Answer from Natianan
Hong Kong, China151 contributions101 helpful votes
It is 2 seperate rooms and each room has its own door (so not inter-connecting) HOWEVER there is another door outside outside of the hallway of the 2 rooms so the rooms are connected via a private hallway. Hope this makes sense, it worked very nicely for our family.
