We stayed here because we didn't want to stay in the city and we liked the idea of having a restaurant and beer garden attached. The restaurant was good. It was authentically German and the garlic cream soup was outstanding. In fact, it had one of the best breakfast spreads we've had in a European hotel. The garden was surprisingly...

Well worth going to to. Outside of Munich and only a short train ride away which was cheap. The boutique hotel is clean and modern with one out let. Breakfast is not included but great. Local Germans use this hotel a lot and it was booked up when we arrived. The concierge speaks good English and was very helpful. I...

The family Mendel runs this charming little hotel for something like 130 years or so ... but the place is so cozy, so well cured, so delicately maintained, that you will simply love it ... it is a fantastic opportunity to visit Munich - yes, Munich ... although it looks like being far away from downtown, it is NOT, because...

Had a great and delicious dinner in a very cozy typical Bavarian style restaurant. The Biergarten outside looked good too. We sit inside. The service was good too. The parking situation is very bad but there is a Station close called Lochhausen. I would definitely go there for a private dinner too.

Old but very nice hotel in a real Bavarian ambiance. Rooms are good, clean, spacey and in style with the hotel. The restaurant is delicious with an enormous list of great foods, meat, fish or local specialities. Reserve a place before as it always fully booked form Monday until Sunday. Just a few steps away from the M-line which will...

This hotel is a short walk from Lauchausen train station which was very important for us as we had a lot of luggage to transport to the hotel. We were hiring a campervan from Sulzemoos the next day and they allowed us to leave our luggage there when we checked out, and return to pick it up when we had...

Stayed here in July 2015. Friendly staff, comfortable room. Nice to have would have been a lift, but they do have a chair-lift for guests that have problems to walk up stairs. Restaurant next door was really good as well. I can recommend this place

This is an additional review to my original dated July 16, 2010. I was excited to return to the Deutsche Eiche (not to be confused with the Hotel Deutsche Eiche downtown), in Sept. 2012 and again in Sept. 2013, with my husband. Both times our rooms were in the annex across the small parking lot, but they were spacious, clean...

The Landgasthof Deutsche Eiche, not to be confused with the Hotel Deutsche Eiche downtown, is a quiet retreat for those who don't mind to be a bit outside the city center. Located in the neighborhood of Lochhausen, the hotel is a 20-minute S-Bahn ride west of the downtown sightseeing action, but it is a convenient 2 stops away from Pasing...
