I'm not a frequent visitor of hostels but this place was really good. Amazing location, only 5 min walk from the central train station. Rooms were very clean, showers were good and the chill out conservatory is a great idea. Good bar too with reasonable...More
Wombat Munich hostel is about a 5 minute walk from Munich's main train station (hauptbahnhof). It is a two minute walk to the subway station. It's located right next door to Jaeger's Munich Hostel and Euro Youth Hostel. I stayed at Jaeger Youth Hostel one...More
Have stayed here twice, once in 2008 and once in 2011 and excellent both times! Central to everything, lots of computers, comfy and clean rooms and the bar and chillout areas are great fun! Always lots of drinks offers on and their nap area is...More
Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, fun atmosphere. If that isn't enough, the nap room kills the game (there are hammocks, yes hammocks!!). Would definitely stay here again if I find myself in Munich!

In my opinion it is a party hostel...the canteen is transformed into a students bar after 6pm and the place is bustling with people and music. Great music, you get a complimentary beer and are welcome to buy more at affordable prices. The best thing is that its a great way to start off your trip in a new and unknown city. You can make some great friends with fellow travellers from across the globe over a beer and share experiences...its a good way to get real info about the happening spots in the city and then strike out on your own. Hope that helps !
