Hard to give Jaegers a consistent review! The Hostel is situated in a very good area- across the road from the main train station (and most bus tour departure points also), and the private double with ensuite was clean (even if there was tough love evident- multiple marks on walls/furniture etc), the staff were efficient but not as friendly as...

We stayed two nights (1 at the start of our 3 weeks trip and 1 at the end). At first when you get to the area it looks like a bit of a scruffy area, but the location is great. Close to the old town, opposite the main train station and the staff is really helpful. We had a private...

Small room but clean. Stayed in a single. No wifi signal at all in room although I was only on the 3rd floor. Had to use wifi in the lobby. Asked for room change but couldn't. Reception was nice and let me store my luggage. Less than 5 min walk from central train station. Lots of people to social with...

Stay was only for 1 stop over stay. Was fine. Clean and comfortable, breakfast next day was 4euros and wasn't to shabby. Staff are pretty cool and the Bavarian people are pretty laced back so makes it a cooler town

Stayed for a single night and was good enough. I chose the 4 people dorm which is small but more private than the 40 beds one. Had a nice stay but if you like a more private night just for yourself, book in the intercity just around the corner. It's a hostel so there is some noise and less privacy...

I stayed two nights in the 40 people bedroom wich is divided in 4 section so in the end it was like a 10 people room open on a corridor. Each bed has its own locker but you should bring your own lock if you don't want to pay 1euro per day to rent one. Even using your own lock...

Firstly, the location is a big advantage because Jaeger's is a very short walk from the Hauptbahnhof. From a social point of view, it has a lot going for it. The bar has a good capacity, stays open until 1 am and has quite reasonable offers. There are, however, two major problems with this place. The first, and biggest, one...

Jaegers is perfectly positioned near the centre of Munich! Everything is walking distance! The hostel is very clean and the rooms have very new bathrooms! Only bad thing is that the beds are noisy (plastic mattress protectors) and you are woken up by someone turning over! All in all very good! Would stay here again!

We weren't expecting much, since it was one of the cheaper options within a decent distance of the city center. The 40 person room was alright, since it was divided into around 6 sections so the noise wasn't as much of an issue as we were expecting. It could get a bit stuffy in one section, due to the showers...
