The Hotel Am Moosfeld in Munich is a beautiful family-run hotel. The staff and the service are perfect and super friendly. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the bathroom in the room is very modern. The breakfast is very sufficient and there are many delicious products. The service at breakfast is always friendly and quick. The swimming pool is very well maintained and you can just swim and relax there. But you can also lift weights in the fitness room and improve your stamina. I really liked the fireplace room. The waiters are friendly and quick in their service. The food tastes excellent and very fresh. Based on my experience, I can highly recommend the Hotel am Moosfeld. It is simply a very nice place to spend your vacation.

Very convenient hotel if you arrive in Munich by car from the road coming from Salzburg as it is very close to major roads, it is in a very quiet area with a large car park. In ten minutes on foot there is the metro stop which in 20 minutes takes you directly to the center. So it allows you to visit Monaco without forgetting the car. Otherwise a classic continental hotel, with friendly staff extremely available for all requests. Enjoy your breakfast. It also has a small restaurant room, which if you want to use we recommend booking in advance (at least in the period we were there between Christmas and New Year it was full).

The hotel is located about 15 minutes drive from the city center, in a very quiet location. The rooms have essential and somewhat spartan furnishings. The breakfast was excellent, rich and plentiful. The only flaw, the bald gentleman at the reception was very rude and unprofessional. For the rest, everything is ok! Competitive prices.

Hotel is very clean, organised and functional. It is accessible to underground and S ban Train links. We stayed for 2 nights. The decor and the technology is dated, it has a chunky key entry to rooms and the TV is small and has no internet access or link for Bluetooth devices. Prices in the bar / restaurant are similar to city centre luxury bar / restaurants, expensive. Water was an issue for us. Small bottles of water were provided in the room, but they were not replenished. When we requested water from reception we were sent to the bar. The bar person was very unwilling to help us. So much so we dared not ask again. One morning we went for water to the breakfast room, while filling my reusable bottle, I was actually told off by one of the staff! I think he was actually the manager. I didn’t have the language to reply. I won’t be going back.

Hotel on the outskirts of Munich, very close to the fair, has two convenient free outdoor car parks and a paid underground garage, has many rooms and not as many car parks, but on the street it is quite easy to find parking if necessary. The subway is 600 meters away, 10-15 minutes on foot, in 5 minutes and one stop you are at the fair, for the city center it is 11-12 stops and 30-45 minutes depending on the changes. Small reception with little staff compared to the number of rooms, most of them in the main building, but many are in the two annexes which is very inconvenient... and if you arrive during busy times you wait a long time to check in... I arrived in the early afternoon, and I waited less than 10 minutes, but I saw groups of people waiting for almost an hour.... The structure is old fashioned but very well kept, very clean, my compliments indeed, large but minimal rooms, no fridge.. no kettle... which for me is not acceptable in a 4 star! Welcome bottle of water, everything ok, but I repeat really on the limit for a 4 star, except I repeat the cleanliness, and then no air conditioning... in the height of summer... in my opinion unlivable, while the heating is ok. Decent soundproofing, but the neighbors can be heard, no choice of pillows... in short, very basic again! Positive note, convenient, free and very, very fast WiFi. Breakfast, I would say top, 4 stars, very varied in sweet and savory, but also vegetarian, celiac, lots of goodies, hummus, mini cup food, really ok, but with the hotel full... a little too chaotic.. . Fitness area, swimming pool, sauna... it is located in the second annex away from the main building, you have to ask for a special key... and walk 200 meters outside in the street... so you have to change there and there are no lockers, only coat hanger... a little uncomfortable... the gym and the swimming pool are very beautiful, but the sauna... very small... there are two micro... and already 5 people... they are too many to enjoy it for a long time I went at times when the others were working or having dinner... and in any case in shifts... relaxation area like a military dormitory... no water dispenser or anything else... in short... one of the worst I've been to ! Quick check out, but here too at a strategic time.... and goodbye, it won't be a fabulous place, but it's clean and convenient for the fair, they also have a free shuttle that goes back and forth in the morning. Last note, shops in the area...zero... take that into account!

Liked · Very friendly staff in all areas. Very decent breakfast buffet. Well-maintained indoor pool, sauna (Finnish and organic), fitness room. A bit out of the way on the edge of a single-family housing development in Trudering/Moosfeld. About 10 minutes walk to the U2 (Moosfeld). The U2 then takes you to Sendlinger Tor (Oktoberfest parades and within walking distance to Theresienwiese) and the main station without changing trains. In this respect, there are good public transport connections.
Wirtshaus Trudering with beer garden and decent food about 20 minutes walk away.
Didn't like · The standard double rooms are spartanly furnished. The two beds are at the corner due to lack of space. Reminds a bit of a room at a rehab center or youth hostel. According to the rescue plan, all rooms in building 1 are identical. Other room types are probably in building 2, but these were not available when we booked. The indoor pool, sauna and fitness room are also located in building 2, about 60m from building 1. We did not find any reference to this in the hotel description.

After a ski holiday, we chose this hotel only because of the pool, which they have shown so nicely on their website. Unfortunately, this pool was located in a different building, which is misleading to guests considering a stay at this hotel. This means that if you want to use the pool, then you have to go out on the street, after which you have to walk 100 meters before you can jump in the pool. We did not want this, as there are full homeless and/or other suspicious types. Very disappointing.
In addition, the hotel has not been renovated since the 1990s, so all the interiors are old-looking and smell out on the hallways.
Breakfast was good.

The hotel is clean and comfortable and well maintained! The reception staff are very helpful especially Mateus. There is a very pleasant bar and restaurant and Natalia goes the extra mile to ensure all your needs are met! The hotel provides an excellent buffet breakfast which we couldn’t fault. The hotel provides an indoor swimming pool for use during your stay which was very welcome on hot August days.

It is deeply disappointing that, despite there being no significant costs incurred on your side, we were met with such unaccommodating behavior. The imposition of a 90% cancellation fee seems excessive and unreasonable under the circumstances. I hope that future guests receive a more understanding of your service.

Hotel Am Moosfeld is a medium-sized hotel in a suburb of Munich. The furnishings are somewhat outdated, but neat, clean and functional. All necessary facilities are available in the room, except for a minibar. Service and friendliness of the staff is OK. The hotel is located on the edge of a business park and the view is not great. Accessibility by public transport is good and parking is free.
