We stayed five nights at the Hotel Uhland in the beginning of December, 2016. The hotel is within a five minute walk to the Oktoberfest grounds (subway station) and quite close, maybe 10-15 minute walk, to the main train and subway transfer station. A standard but hearty European breakfast is included. The front desk staff are friendly and willing to...

This is a nice boutique hotel located just a few blocks from the Central Munich train station. We found it easily when we downloaded maps.me and it was a straight 3 blocks of easy walking. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. Nate was so knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. He was originally from the states but now...

I found this hotel to be both historic and modern. It's a very old building restored to period but the rooms have been modernized and are sleek design. The beds are quite comfortable, in fact they were replacing every mattress the day we checked in. Location is about a 20-25 min walk to Marienplatz and 5 mins to Oct Fest...

We spent three nights here and so enjoyed it. We loved our quiet, charming street and the easy walk to both the main train station and downtown (about 15 minute to Marienplatz). Our hosts couldn't have been more pleasant, offering tips, advice, maps, and laughs. Breakfast was quite good and even tho we had a small room, it was still...

This hotel is terrific. It is a beautiful family owned hotel on a lovely residential street. Munich hotels can be very expensive and we were thrilled to stumble upon this hotel through Rick Steves website. It is about a 10 minute walk to the main train station and about a 20 minute walk into the main centre of town. I...

This is a great hotel for the Rick Steve's type of traveller. My wife and I had the comfort double room, free WiFi, and included breakfast. It was half the price of hotels by the Hauptbahnhof, but we could walk 3 blocks to the Sendlinger Tor station, which had the subway and tram stops. Felt safe in neighborhood , which...

Knowing that our flight to Munich from the States would arrive early in the morning, I emailed the Hotel Uhland and asked them to try to make the room we'd reserved available to us by 10 a.m. The taxi dropped us off at the hotel at 9:30 a.m., so I was amazed when I was told our room was ready...

Hotel Uhland is on a genteel side street a short 15 minute walk from the train station. Quiet neighborhood.( It's location near the Oktoberfest site and close to the station was a concern until we arrive.) t;s an easy walk to the old town and all sites. Very nice, helpful staff, good and recently updated rooms, nice breakfast. And the...

Cannot find a better located hotel for visiting Oktoberfest. It is on a residential street right down the block from a few entrances into the fest. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast offered each day is substantial. Our room was small, but clean and fairly modern.

We booked this hotel as it was a recommendation from Rick Steves, and we really enjoyed it. It is in a residential area, but just one block from the area where they were setting up for Oktoberfest. The staff were very friendly and helpful, spending significant time to point out restaurant recommendations and sights around the city. The breakfast buffet...
