My husband, 17 year old and myself stayed here for 5 nights before a Rhine River cruise. I had researched the heck out of hotels in Munich. I am so glad we chose this hotel. Our son stayed in a room that connected to ours. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and it was just enough room. The best thing about this hotel was the service from the staff. From the guys that valeted the car, to the girls that helped out at breakfast. Everything was past our expectations. The breakfast was delicious. You can eat from the beautiful buffet or order something. We always had an egg white omelette with fresh fruit. I can not remember the guys name who was over the bar area(has been there for 25 years) was excellent! We had dinner one night, appetizers another but always had a few drinks when we came in every night. He was very talkative and so welcoming. Also Eric, what a cutie! He waited on us a lot and was great. He had the best manners and personality. What a great guy to have on staff. We have traveled to 6 continents and have stayed all over the world. This hotel is at the top of our list! It is like a quaint Four Seasons. The patio in the back is lovely. Beautiful flowers and so charming.…
We started our week long week trip around Bavaria and also ended it here. The staff was helpful in advance of our stay with restaurants options and reservations as well as when we got there on local transportation. The rooms are highly appointed and very clean. We would recommend one on a higher floor over looking the gardens with a balcony. Also try the winter garden restaurant, sit on the patio it a very tasty meal. You should make a reservation for dinner in advance if you want to sit outside. We recommend staying here you won’t be disappointed and it is a short subway ride to all the attractions.
Checked in today, and already they have created a wonderful experience for our family! We arrived and we’re greeted by warm and friendly staff. We left our bags in our room and went for a walk and lunch in the English garden, and when we returned we found flowers, fruit, and chocolates (celebrating a birthday and a graduation.) Room is beautiful and quiet. Neighborhood is very pretty. We highly recommend the Hotel Munchen Palace!

I stayed at this hotel with my adult daughter. Our room was beautiful looking out into the courtyard from the 1st floor (2nd floor US). The breakfast was extensive and they will cook eggs for you as you’d like them. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Everyone was super helpful and they were very responsive to email questions. The concierge had lots of helpful suggestions and was very friendly and hospitable.
I stayed at this Hotel for 8 nights (I was alone) and was very impressed on multiple levels. The staff of this Hotel must have been very carefully selected because they conduct themselves exemplary. Congrats to the HR Manager. I only had dinner at the Hotel one night (busy on other nights) but was impressed with the quality, presentation, taste and staff. I recommend it. The breakfast menu is rich and the quality high but so is the price. Bread is nicely pre-packed (COVID) with the disadvantage that you never get what you want as the mix per bag may not contain the variety you like. Bread will be wasted. Slices are not cut fully which makes it impossible to separate them (inconvenient mess). The bread served at dinner seemed fresher than what you get for breakfast. Buns did not seem as fresh as they should be (at least on Sunday). My room (403 twin beds) was very nice and had a little balcony and on sunny days I enjoyed sitting outside. Soft-Drinks in the fridge are free and refilled daily. The bathroom was large enough in size and had all I needed. I used the Spa daily and although small, I was mostly alone when using the sauna or steam room. All was very clean and hygienic. Room service also worked well and was priced right. Personally I enjoyed the quality of table ware. Plates were Villeroy & Boch and cutlery displayed the Hotel name. It’s simply the quality that impressed me throughout the Hotel. The location of the Hotel is very convenient. It is across the road from the well known Restaurant Käfer (also a delicatessen) and if you like a top meal outside the Hotel, this is the place to go. Although in my 70ies I not only was able to reach and walk along the River Isar, but beyond that all the way to the center of town (Marienplatz) which is about a 4 mile ( 6.5 Km) roundtrip walk. But Public transport is also a few steps away from the Hotel. A COVID test center was very close (5 min) which was convenient for getting tested prior to returning to the US. Bicycles are available for rent from the Hotel. For me, the Hotel, the all around quality and location made it the perfect place to stay. Thanks to everybody!…
We spent two weeks at the hotel. It was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful, wonderful food, excelent room and the quality and kindness of people worth mentioning. I surely recomend it The Cheff prepared excellent food and we loved the surprise he always sent to the table.
The Munchen Palace Hotel is simply a gold standard of hospitality in a city where there is no shortage of hotels. We traveled as a family of four during a difficult time for Germany. Covid rates were increasing and the city of Munich was unfortunately going to have to scale back its Christmas markets and other festive holiday traditions. While the city itself was in a bit of a malaise, the Palace offered a welcoming and altogether positive experience. I was quite impressed with the exceptionally high service levels, where the front desk, Concierge and door staff offered crisp, professional service where no request seemed far fetched or out of reach. Expectations were also exceeded in the restaurant, where the staff seemed at ease, friendly and able to meet every request. We booked two rooms which were beautifully appointed, with high ceilings, crown molding, marble bathroom flooring and complimentary mini bar. There was no way a guest could not feel comfortable here. On a final note, my wife left her coat in the room upon checkout. When we inquired by email, we received a prompt response back confirming they found it and offered to ship it to our next hotel. The staff made the situation seem so easy and effortless! Thank you, Hotel Munchen Palace. We hope to see you again in better times.…
Front Desk was exceptional. They arranged for a private transfer for our day trip to Regensburg and printed our preflight COVID 19 test results. Our room had a balcony that opens to the inner courtyard. Very quiet. Breakfast hot items included Bavarian sausages that come in a crock, plus your usual selections. Rooms are on the small side. That may be the standard in Munich.
I felt very welcomed at this lovely, well run, harmonious hotel. The desk staff made me comfortable as my room was being serviced. When I did go upstairs, I was met with a warm, inviting room with everything one might need. Soon after, a bellman arrived with a raspberry macaron and fresh raspberries around it. This came every day and was just what one needed after being out and about. It is not in the busy pedestrian center but in an upscale neighborhood( think Upper East Side Manhattan). There was a bus across the street which took you in 5 stops to the center. Painless. The restaurant was tops and room service arrived within minutes. As you can see, I loved my stay there. I will be sure to return.
