I recently stayed at the Muenchen Palace whilst on holiday in Munich.

The hotel is a cosy oasis in a quiet part of the city (the Bogenhausen Theatre district), although the central hub of the city is easily accessible. I found every member of the hotel staff I encountered to be friendly, helpful and attentive.

The breakfast service is a sumptuous variety of German cuisine - it will certainly set you up for the day! I was also able to enjoy a few dinners in the hotel's garden restaurant - again the service was first class and I particularly enjoyed the Johannisburger schnitzel served with tagliatelle.

My room overlooked the courtyard which meant no noisy disturbances whilst sleeping. The room was tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also beautifully presented, complete with Molton Brown shampoo etc.

Munich is one of my favourite cities in the world so I'll certainly be back on the other side of Covid 19. When that happens, I very much hope I get the chance to return to the Hotel Muenchen Palace.

I'd like to congratulate the General Manager and his team for the superb way in which they run a first rate property. Thank you for looking after me!

We traveled to München for several short trips between July and October. The first time we stayed at the Bayerischer Hof and had a very disappointing experience (massives disorganisation, poor quality, impersonal, dated, etc.). We then decided to try the München Palace - what a difference! This is a well maintained, well managed boutique hotel in a wonderful area of of Munich that has found a way to offer its clients a personal and warm service even during the Covid pandemic. We felt cared for and safe at the same time. Rooms are classy and quiet, the restaurant serves good food and open up to a charming courtyard whenever weather allows. We appreciated the surrounding neighbourhood as well; there are many restaurants, shops, and a park; the city center is within walking distance as well.

We stayed here in June 2019 and what a great hotel this is. Located near to bus routes and train routes and only a 10 minute journey to the town centre.

Breakfast was of great quality and the rooms were very good, well stocked mini bar, complimentary fruit and drink delivered to our room.

The staff were very polite and helpful, especially the concierge service. I look forward to returning some day.

I stayed at this Hotel for 8 nights (I was alone) and was very impressed on multiple levels. The staff of this Hotel must have been very carefully selected because they conduct themselves exemplary. Congrats to the HR Manager. I only had dinner at the Hotel one night (busy on other nights) but was impressed with the quality, presentation, taste and staff. I recommend it. The breakfast menu is rich and the quality high but so is the price. Bread is nicely pre-packed (COVID) with the disadvantage that you never get what you want as the mix per bag may not contain the variety you like. Bread will be wasted. Slices are not cut fully which makes it impossible to separate them (inconvenient mess). The bread served at dinner seemed fresher than what you get for breakfast. Buns did not seem as fresh as they should be (at least on Sunday). My room (403 twin beds) was very nice and had a little balcony and on sunny days I enjoyed sitting outside. Soft-Drinks in the fridge are free and refilled daily. The bathroom was large enough in size and had all I needed. I used the Spa daily and although small, I was mostly alone when using the sauna or steam room. All was very clean and hygienic.
Room service also worked well and was priced right. Personally I enjoyed the quality of table ware. Plates were Villeroy & Boch and cutlery displayed the Hotel name. It’s simply the quality that impressed me throughout the Hotel.
The location of the Hotel is very convenient. It is across the road from the well known Restaurant Käfer (also a delicatessen) and if you like a top meal outside the Hotel, this is the place to go.
Although in my 70ies I not only was able to reach and walk along the River Isar, but beyond that all the way to the center of town (Marienplatz) which is about a 4 mile ( 6.5 Km) roundtrip walk. But Public transport is also a few steps away from the Hotel. A COVID test center was very close (5 min) which was convenient for getting tested prior to returning to the US.
Bicycles are available for rent from the Hotel.
For me, the Hotel, the all around quality and location made it the perfect place to stay.
Thanks to everybody!

stayed 3 nights in deluxe garden room. The room was just perfect and matched all my needs. And so quiet at night , had an excellent sleep all nights. The concierge was always ready to take over the car to park. Very friendly staff. And in addition an absolutely amazing breakfast buffet (and special items to order) , never seen such a high-quality choice in a hotel in Europe, very intimate with just 4-6 other guests to share every morning, 4 blends of fresh juice generously presented and exotic fruits from dragon fruits, papaya, mango, pineapple and all perfectly ripe. Congrats to the FB-Manager and kitchen staff. Will be back here for sure.

I'm usually pretty jaded when it comes to hotels, same old same old for most of them. This one really stood out from the crowd. The service, top to bottom, is outstanding. First and foremost, I want to shout out to the front desk, especially one gentleman who's son is studying physics, sorry I can't remember names. Friendly, helpful, welcoming, can't say enough about this guy.

Anyway, let's talk hotel ... when is the last time that the mini-bar is included?! Fresh bottled water put into our room every day, turn down service with nice chocolates, hotel bikes to use that are in great shape. And the restaurant! Really great. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed, fresh, fresh & fresh. Loved the bartender, who made us some very nice gimlets every night.

Yeah, I know, I pretty much have a crush on this hotel. The rooms are nice, though not small, not a lot of extra space either... also with a balcony overlooking a green courtyard. Just a note, you have to call down for an iron, but housekeeping brings it over pretty quickly.

Small gym, with steam, sauna and massage available.

The only real downside is that the hotel is in a quiet part of the city across the river from the tourist area. To get to the old part of the city requires a very long long, riding a bike (as I said, provided by hotel), or buying a transportation day pass (the hotel has them at the front desk) and riding the bus into town. We used the day pass to hop on and off the metro, the trams, the bus ... went out to olympic village for example.

Anyway, I love this hotel!

I felt very welcomed at this lovely, well run, harmonious hotel. The desk staff made me comfortable as my room was being serviced. When I did go upstairs, I was met with a warm, inviting room with everything one might need. Soon after, a bellman arrived with a raspberry macaron and fresh raspberries around it. This came every day and was just what one needed after being out and about. It is not in the busy pedestrian center but in an upscale neighborhood( think Upper East Side Manhattan). There was a bus across the street which took you in 5 stops to the center. Painless. The restaurant was tops and room service arrived within minutes. As you can see, I loved my stay there. I will be sure to return.

We started our week long week trip around Bavaria and also ended it here. The staff was helpful in advance of our stay with restaurants options and reservations as well as when we got there on local transportation.

The rooms are highly appointed and very clean. We would recommend one on a higher floor over looking the gardens with a balcony.

Also try the winter garden restaurant, sit on the patio it a very tasty meal. You should make a reservation for dinner in advance if you want to sit outside.

We recommend staying here you won’t be disappointed and it is a short subway ride to all the attractions.

Wonderful stay in a cosy hotel here in Munich.
Location of the hotel is really close to English Gardens, and basically a 20 min walk to Old Town with lots of shops and restaurants along the way.
Hotel room was very very comfortable and absolute bonus that the mini bar was included (and replenished).
Staff were very helpful and always accommodating.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place if travelling with family or on business!

The Muenchen Palace is a good hotel which is elevated to an excellent one by the friendliness and helpfulness of their staff. We arrived on a wet July morning but were immediately welcomed by the very efficient Caladonia on reception. The rooms are comfortable and after a week without air conditioning in the mountains we enjoyed the best night's sleep we had had for a while. The free mini bar was very welcome and all the facilities great. We enjoyed a lovely dinner and drinks in the hotel bar and enjoyed the company of the barman and the pianist. The hotel is about a 40 minute walk from the Old Town but it is an easy walk and you can stop off and see the surfers in the English Garden en route. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff are to be commended.
