Very nice hotel close to the bus and main train station. The tram also stops right at the front of the hotel. Very friendly front desk staff - free coffee and tea all day at the reception. Had a room on the 5th floor facing the road but it was not noisy at all. The room was very clean and came with a small kitchen. Breakfast was simple but had a good variety. Overall a very comfortable stay and great value for money.

For a cheap place to stay this was decent. It wasn't the most lavish of places but for what we paid and I expected, this was perfect. The tram stop was close by so it was easy to get about albeit being outside of the city center. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable plus we had an issue with the shower. After calling down to staff, no one ever came up to fix the shower so we had to fix it ourselves eventually. Other than that the staff were very nice.

The hotel is situated close to public transport and about a 20 min walk to Munich Hauptbahnhof. The room was a good size, and separate bathroom and toilet was good. Only thing that wasn’t good was the pillows. Not sure what they were but they weren’t pillows. They had no support, form or shape.

I have never spent the time to do a review but I have to. I had a horrible stay and when speaking to booking nothing was done and no refund. A room was booked for 4 people and there was one bed. When asked about sleeping arrangements for other 2 people was handed a bag of bedding and told to pull out couch. Outlets didn’t work. No hot water. Spider webs behind mirror, dead bug on ceiling and bug in bath. Will never stay here again.

We read with much concern about the unpleasant experience you encountered during your previous stay with us. While we strive to maintain the highest customer satisfaction standards, monitoring our effectiveness can be a challenge at times. I noticed that we failed to meet your expectations in certain aspects of your recent stay with us, and that we could not make your stay more comfortable. We always encourage our residents to bring their concerns to the Duty Manager at the time when the issue arises. The purpose is to ensure that your concerns are addressed promptly with the objective of making your stay with us a pleasant one. In this instance, the management of the property was unaware of the incident and is very sorry to learn that you were left with an unpleasant experience. Regarding you comment on the sleeping arrangements, from our records, your reservation made through a third party website was for an apartment, in our 1-bedroom apartments the bedding configuration is a double bed in the main bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge area. We hope that you would reconsider staying with us again, giving us another opportunity to serve you better. I would be grateful if you would contact me in advance on that occasion so I can make the necessary arrangements personally. Yours sincerely, Martin WALD | Assistant Residence Manager

We stayed in a studio apartment, the smallest type. The bed was comfortable, the table was large enough for two people to use as a desk, and the bathroom was spacious and safe. Ledges on the wall near the table gave us plenty of places to put small things without covering the table with them. The pillows were not what we are used to, but we worked out how to shape them so we could sleep on them. There were extras in the cupboard. The kitchenette had a microwave, a fridge, two hotplates and a dishwasher. Our only problem was that some of the kitchen utensils were missing (e.g. things to use with the frying pan) and Housekeeping apparently forgot to bring them after we gave a list to Reception. (A full equipment list is provided in the room.) We didn't pursue this matter; we bought a cheap wooden spoon and made do with that. We ate almost all our breakfasts and dinners in the room. There is a large Edeka supermarket near the Donnersbergerbruecke S-Bahn Station, and a smaller Netto closer by. (You need to look up where these are, as they are not on the main road.) It's also easy to shop near the Haupbahnhof and take the tram back to the hotel. The tram stop is right out the front of the building. The Donnersbergerbruecke S-Bahn station is now easier to reach, as a new access bridge has been built at the bottom of the side street (Helmholzstrasse) in the Arnulfpark. This area has been redeveloped in recent times, so what you see on aerial photos may be out of date. The basement laundry is well equipped and the machines have their own automatic liquid detergent supplies. You pay via a webpage, app or at Reception. The dryer left our clothes a bit damp, but we may not have chosen the best setting. As this is an apartment hotel, Housekeeping service the room once a week. Our room faced the main road. We are not bothered by traffic or tram noises. We didn't use the air conditioning, so can't comment on it. The room was warm at night but not too warm. We pulled the doona (duvet) out of the cover and slept with just the cover as a top sheet. We would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

We stayed at the Citadines Munich-hotel with my husband for three nights at august. Here are the pros and cons for our stay at the hotel. Unfortunately our experience was more of disappointment, so there is not a lot of pros to be written. Pros: -our hotel room was clean expect kitchen dishes which were dirty. Cons: -when we arrived at the hotel, hotel staff says that there is no room in the parking garage even we had told to the hotel when we had made the reservation that we are arriving with the rental car, so we would appreciate parking space opportunity. Regarding the whole parking space problem in the garage, hotel staff did not try to seek for finding the solution by proactive manner (hotel staff seem to had some sort of attitude problem with us). When we got parking space for next days, we saw that in the parking garage there were at least couple of cars parked in a wrong places (not in the marked parking spaces). So it seems that hotel staff have give some of the hotel customers change to parked their cars even when there was no free parking spaces. Hotel staff did not active our hotel room keys so that we could access to the parking garage at the check in when we discuss the whole parking space dilemma, so then we had to go and ask hotel staff to active keys, so that we can use the parking garage (sound like a minor problem, but this whole thing took bunch of time per key because the hotel reception were often very busy). -breakfast at the hotel were very limited, example only fruit which you could get was an apple and also no scrambled eggs or anything like that, just a few boiled eggs and some sausages. Also the whole system where you need to write down your hotel room number and number of quests and quest name is so old fashioned. I think it would be also great if hotel staff which are working in the breakfast area could at least speak a few words of English (the employee which told us to fill the breakfast form did not speak English at all and we know that this is pretty common problem in a different areas when travelling in Germany because we have travel to Germany couple of times before). -the hotel room bed pillows are so bad, they were pretty flat and only one pillow per person. -kitchen is outdated and not in best shape. Our opinion is that the pictures which are on the hotel website did not show the true condition of the kitchen. Also kitchen microwave did not work well because when we try to use it in our last night at Munich the microwave heat resistance glowed full red so we immediately stop using it. -Overall the whole experience with this hotel were bad especially when the hotel room prices is above the average prices which you normally paid. Hotel staff excluding one nice female person which were always very nice to us, were below any standard which me and my husband are use to have when travelling and using different kind of hotels.

Fine hotel located optimal for my trip. Staff was friendly and attentive. The room was fine en size and clean. There was however a smell both in the hallways and the room that gave me a headache. Assuming it was from cleanings but was rather heavy. The breakfast was basic but fine

Spacious apartment for a great price. Modern, clean, cozy. Not far from the city centre. It is even a walkable distance. Parking available at the hotel. There is always someone at the reception so there is a lack of privacy but apart from that my stay was great.

Hotel looked better in pictures – pillows were crap balls of fluff I would not stay here again for this reason as you need to get your sleep - asked 3 times for better pillows but they were all the same - and I'm talking very bad - to have a nice modern looking hotel you need decent pillows for the guests – safe not working – remote not working – free coffee machine was good – reviews said everything was wonderful but staff were not that friendly - we asked for train/tram tickets and were told to buy them at the station but online here and in the hotel I thought other people got them from reception but asked twice and was told no – only 1 soap – no toiletries – didn’t come and clean the room - at check in didn't explain this and didn't explain we had to take our rubbish out – subway down the road – tram outside was good 3 stops to main train station was the only benefit and rooms were good size

This hotel was in a great location and perfect for our family. There is a tram station directly in front of the hotel, and the main train station and Marionplatz are both less than a kilometre away. We particularly enjoyed the Augustiner Beerhause that was nearby. Breakfast was wonderful and had many items to choose from. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
