Pros: 1- Very Good location and you have access to the central train station and public transportation very easy, only 7 minutes walk from central station 2- The hotel is fairly neat and covers the German standards in this regard Cons: 1- Bed has 2 single mattresses so if you are a couple probably you have some issues 2- Hotel is under Renovation construction and sometimes you hear some people working on the hallway If you traveling for business and you need to have clean place to sleep it could be a good choice

We stayed at the Metropol Hotel last August, on our way back home from our Summer holiday. The hotel is conveniently located, a few steps away from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and on walking distance to the city centre. The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. We had a room on the top floor with a private terrace, bathroom, A/C, TV, safe and fridge. Staff wass friendly and helpfull. Another advantage of the hotel is their private underground car park (extra fee).

We stayed here for 3 nights during the Virus hysteria. We had the junior Suite and it was everything clean and lovely. The Staff wasn’t there a lot, when they were there, they were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located very close to the train station, that’s very convenient, but also attracts the crowds which you can expect to be around a train station and I don’t mean the traveler. I hope to come back to this hotel when it’s in full swing, because I do think they have a lot to offer that we didn’t get to see.

My fiancé and I stayed at Hotel Metropol during our weekend visit to Munich. First and foremost the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly! Upon check in and check out we had the pleasure of talking to the man working at the front desk (we didn't get his name) but we was absolutely wonderful and gave us suggestions for our visit. Everyone we met spoke english, so that was also helpful! We arrived early and our room wasn't quite ready but they stored our luggage and gave us a call when the room was available. Upon check out they also stored our luggage so we could explore without lugging it around. As an aside, they had a very clean and spacious bathroom downstairs from the lobby that came in handy after we had already checked out and returned to pick up our luggage. The room itself was spacious and very clean. Drinks from the minibar were reasonably priced. They had a tablet where you could request anything you needed. We requested extra pillows and a couple minutes later they arrived! As far as covid-19 precautions, everyone was of course wearing a mask, there were sanitizing stations set up, and social distancing in place. The location of the hotel was also wonderful. Just a short maybe ten minute walk to old town/15 to Marienplatz. Overall an excellent stay, especially for the price. We will absolutely return!

Great location, great sleep quality, decoration, all a great experience. The breakfast was also worth mentioning, many options to chose from and I bet there are locals visiting it only for the breakfast hehehe, no way we were that many on the hotel.
