Roomers Munich, Autograph Collection boasts modern and stylish rooms that many guests find spacious and comfortable, although maintenance and design have been points of contention for some. The hotel's overall atmosphere receives accolades for its contemporary vibe, though noise levels and dim lighting have been noted. Cleanliness stands out as a consistently praised aspect, with the majority of travelers expressing satisfaction. While the hotel's prime location and friendly staff earn compliments, opinions on value and amenities like the spa are divided, with some guests expecting more for their money.

It is a beautiful and modern hotel. We were booked up so that on New Year's Eve we had a great view of the fireworks over Munich from the balcony on the top floor. Something special is that the sink is in the room and the toilet is separate and the glass shower is also in the room. The service was great, everyone was nice and accommodating. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel (it was too expensive for us), but there were several bakeries within walking distance towards Theresienwiese. The tram connection outside the door is great. The option of eating out nearby in the evening is also very good, so you can avoid the stress of the city center.
As we like to go to the spa, we of course also used it in the Roomers. The sauna with music is great and was empty when we were there, the steam bath is huge but unfortunately extremely dark (which is a little dangerous), we could only see the back area after a few minutes. A little more light probably doesn't harm the style, but it does help with safety.

Our absolute highlight was the candy counter at the reception, which was constantly replenished - a great idea. Thank you very much.

The Roomers convinces with extremely friendly and competent staff. Here you still know what service means. Even unusual wishes are made possible with a smile. This is in no way self-evident. Particularly striking is the cleanliness and good facilities. The wellness area is a dream. Wardrobes with bathrobes, fluffy towels and high-quality toiletries are waiting in the shower in the locker room. Sufficiently sized for a city hotel with enough comfortable loungers. The Jaccuzi is nice and warm and would even be long enough to swim a few lanes. Sauna and steam bath are welcoming and well maintained. The staff is very attentive and shows everything unobtrusive and friendly. Refreshment is provided by a small but fine bar. I would definitely come back!

Excellent hotel. It is right next to the tram stop for the lighthouse and the center, the place is very peaceful. The rooms are quite spacious, with large bathrooms, and some have a terrace. The bed was very comfortable and the room has an extremely wide selection of alcohol and soft drinks in the minibar (see photo). The service is excellent, I had a reservation for two rooms for me and my parents, I asked for them to be on the same floor, they managed to give me a room almost next to each other - I am very satisfied. I want to pay special attention to the restaurant of the hotel Izakaya - we had breakfast, a very varied buffet with a large selection of dishes that are prepared at the moment. We also visited for dinner - the food and service were also great, if a bit pricey.

Generally: I have now learnt that this hotel has a reputation in Munich. Given this, and the fact it seems to be trying to live up to it (dark corridors, condom in amenities in bathroom, vodka in the spa, etc.), Roomers should just be honest about what it is, become an adult only hotel, and communicate this to would be guests.

Reception: I arrived late on a wet and windy Friday night. I was grateful that the reception staff were able to speak English, as my German is not very proficient. However, this is where things started to go downhill. Having worked on a reception in a hotel, I am aware of the key pieces of information that all guests should be given. Save for being told where breakfast could be (I booked room only), I did not receive any further information. I actually had to ask where the room was, and the lack of information meant I had to go back to the reception to ask for further details about where things were during my stay. Further, being asked for such a significant deposit and to then sign a document in German was disappointing.

Room: I had specifically asked for a quiet room with a bath – and the hotel confirmed this could be achieved. So, it was extremely disappointing that I got neither. And before I am asked why I didn’t ask to move rooms, I arrived late and only stayed for two nights – I could not be bothered! The room, which was nicely finished, was very noisy thanks to it looking out on the main road (cars and trams). Further, it was extremely hot, the AC was next to useless and despite asking if it could be set colder – I was essentially told to put up with the temperature as it was.

Gym: nice size for a hotel with good equipment.

Spa: the information kindly asks people to refrain from using mobiles. This is laughable, nearly everyone was on their phones – including the staff. The spa itself is dark and far too small. There are limited seating options, and these were full for my time in the spa. People struggled to find places to sit, place towels etc. Again, this should be adult only – Magic Mike was being played on the projector, there is a bottle of vodka near the sauna and steam room etc.

Izakaya: I went in to ask if there was a possibility of having a drink and some food at the bar. Was rudely told by a staff member that they were fully booked. It would have been nice to have had some warning on arrival that a booking was needed etc.

Bar: given the above, I ended up eating at the bar. The service from the male staff member was excellent and the food was very good. It would have been nice however, if the other staff members were not eating and drinking at the bar (I saw a takeaway pizza box at one point). Again, I know this is a no no!

The hotel has a sleek, modern design. We arrived at noon, just as the lobby was bustling with guests checking out after Adele's weekend concert. To our pleasant surprise, we were able to check in early and receive our room right away, which was a huge relief. Although we didn’t secure an upgrade, it was a bonus to get settled in immediately rather than wait until the usual 3 p.m. check-in time.

The staff offered us two complimentary drink vouchers and even asked if we wanted some water as well. They provided us with helpful information about the dining options available and explained that we could charge our meals to the room. We also received a $100 credit, which converted to 95 euros, more than enough to cover a lunch for two, including drinks. Keep in mind that if you add any tips to your bill, they are not covered by this credit.

The breakfast service is definitely worth checking out. Once they verify that your room includes breakfast, there’s no charge. The spread is impressive, featuring a full buffet as well as à la carte options that are also included. The French toast, in particular, was fantastic! Though the portions are small, you can always request more. Soft drinks are also included, but you may need to ask for them specifically.

Our room was charming, though the bathroom could use more lighting, especially for those who prefer brighter light for applying makeup. The only real downside was the bed, which was quite firm. After three nights, we were ready to move on, as we both prefer softer beds. However, if you enjoy a firm mattress, it might suit you perfectly.

Overall, the hotel is in a prime location, the staff is exceptionally friendly, and the food is outstanding. The breakfast alone is a highlight not to be missed!

We booked the hotel for three nights in Munich through Secret Escapes, we travel a lot and have stayed in many good hotels, but the Roomers has topped everything in a negative sense.
The hallways are only minimally lit and resemble a dark dungeon. The same goes for the bathroom. Hardly any light. The wellness area consists of a small paddling pool with lots of cozy corners around it and a movie screen on which feature films are shown. We didn't bother with the sauna.
When we checked in, we asked for a quiet room. This request was not met and so we were given a room in the booked category on the second floor even though the hotel was only 50% full.
When we entered the room, we noticed that the safe in the room (couldn't be opened) as well as the drain in the sink (water didn't drain) and the toilet door were broken. (Couldn't be closed properly) We complained about all of this immediately and the problems were then rectified.
Unfortunately, on the first night we discovered that the mattresses were exceptionally hard and it was almost impossible for us to sleep. As I said, we have stayed in many hotels, but these mattresses were a disgrace. If you wake up in the morning with hip and back pain and need a painkiller first thing, that is not acceptable. So we complained again. A topper was put on the mattresses to make them softer. Apparently the problem is known and was therefore solved for the time being, and it was also a bit softer.
On the last evening (3rd night) we woke up to loud music and the thumping of bass. Our room was above a club (discotheque) in the hotel. There are always parties in the restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays and although many guests have complained about this on various review portals, these rooms continue to be sold to guests in the hope that no one will complain. (Rooms 103/104/203/204) Well, we complained again and after another complaint at 1 a.m., with the help of a receptionist, we were moved to a room on the 4th floor. This room faced the busy Landsbergerstrasse, so we could hear the street noise all night long, as the windows didn't block out much of the noise, and sleeping was out of the question. The only positive thing about the hotel was the breakfast and the very young staff, who actually tried very hard. It's a shame that these efforts were thwarted by a strange strategy from management, and if there are condoms in the bathroom, everyone should think for themselves about what's going on here. It was our first and last time staying at the Roomers Munich.

I recently stayed at Roomers for a weekend in the city and I have to say the experience was a bit below expectations.
Check in was quick despite there being quite a lot of guests in the lobby waiting for their rooms. We were offered drinks and told that if the room wasn't big enough for our needs we could go back to reception to see if an upgrade was available.
Anyways, our Superior room was located on the 3rd floor, overlooking the tracks of the train and a couple of buildings was on the small side but since we were traveling with just two small carry-ons and we were also planning to spend a lot of time outside exploring the city we thought it was fine.
The hotel corridors are very dark and honestly I don't mind that. The problem is when you can't find your room because it feels like you're in a maze and in our case the room number wasn't well marked.
As I said, our Superior room was ok for a short stay. It was not super clean tho, and I would have expected more technology from a hotel like this. There aren't even USB sockets. Our shower was a mess, it leaked so much water on the floor I almost slipped and fell. Every time I took a shower I had to put the towels on the floor so that the water wouldn't come out of the bathroom and into the bedroom.
I'm sure this hotel has seen better days because today there are several signs of deterioration all around the property. The walls of the hallways are all full of scratches, like literally. Same goes for the room and other common areas, all show a lack of maintenance: peeling furnitures, marks on the walls.. I didn't have the impression of being in a “luxury” hotel.
Didn’t have time to check the restaurants and the spa but we did have a light breakfast at the lobby bar (even the small marble table here was peeling off): nothing to rave about, ordered some Eggs Benedict and they were meh. Good thing is the coffee machine at the entrance for some drinks on the go.
Location is a hit and miss. From the airport is a 40 mins train ride and the station is right around the corner, but it’s not that close to city center: a good 20/30 mins walk to Marienplatz. But there’s a tram stop right in front of the hotel if you’re not feeling like walking.
I spent such a pleasant weekend in the lovely city of Munich, but sadly I would not return to Roomers.

After months of searching my friend and I decided to splurge on Roomers Munich. The cost per night is more than the other hotels in the area but we understood we would be paying for some luxury and for the location being so close to the Oktoberfest Festival. Imagine our dismay when we arrived, after fifteen (15) hours of flying, to find that the hotel was overbooked. I've been to hotels in sixteen (16) countries around the world and never experienced that before.

We were moved to the Marriott City West, which was described as just down the street but it was actually a little bit of a distance on foot. The disruption in accommodations cascaded problems onto our week's itinerary just off of the additional distance. Marriott City West was a new hotel but it wasn't what we envisioned for the trip.

A manager [?] Christian Abate offered concessions to the couple before us, who were also displaced for overbooking. Those Concessions were not offered to us. He gave us his card and said we could call him in the morning to see if the room we reserved and pre-paid for would be ready. The next day we call both numbers on the card and sent WhatsApp message, none of which were ever responded to. We then called the hotel directly but it seemed they weren't expecting us to call back because our situation was then given to a new manager. In addition, Mariott Munich City West was told we were staying for the rest of our trip which we had not agreed to. In my estimation managment failed to properly hand off our issues.

In any case, The morning manager Mark and Receptionist Christina (under high pressure and busy circumstances) were able to expedite our re-check into Roomers the next day. We were very appreciative of their efforts but in the end the overall experience was still completely overshadowed by how our trip began in Munich... with a bad initial hotel experience. So although the next day's staff did everything they could and it seems like the mistakes were not their fault, and although the rooms, luxury amenities and distance to the Theresenwiese (Oktoberfest) are enticing, I still recommend that you skip Roomers altogether.

The hotel is located about 1/2 hour + walk from the the Marienplatz so taking the light rail outside the hotel or a taxi is needed most times. Good luck trying to figuire out how to get a ticket for the light rail. All in German. Go fiquire. A few times we just jumped on with the crowd anyway.
Our room was excellent in most ways. On entry there was foyer with a closet with the bath on on one side and the bedroom on the other. So plently of room. Very nicely decorated. The room did not have much for closets. instead they have exposed shelves to place clothes. A lot of hotels are going this way. Room very bright with a bed that was super comfy. This room even has a balconey so you sit outside after a long day walking. Not much of view, just people eating on their balcony and the train tracks but you can at least you get outside. The bathroom was the worst. It was beyond dark. Absoutlatey no lighting along with black floors and walls. The shower stall allowed water to run all over the floor. Don't understand the designers reasoning for those items. I have to say the spa was beyond outstanding. Down below it had the steam room, sauna, small lap pool with a hugh wide screen TV showing movies, bathrooms, showers, a tended bar and volka bottle on ice for free shots after the sauna. Truly the best ever, so comfortable. The other place you need to go is the resturant there called Izakaya. Trendy and hip. So good we went twice. The drinks and small plates are unique and all so delicious. Don't miss it. .

I do not remember the number but think it was on the 4th floor and may have been a "Superior Premium Suite". It had a large terrace overlooking the train yard. Breakfast was outstanding.
