I was in this hotel only for one night for a business trip, but totally enough to surprise me in a good way. All the guys are super nice and kind and the style is so cool. My room was at the 7th floor with an amazing view and so clean and tidy. I will book this hotel again for my next trip in munchen.

Ruby is a very friendly and modern hotel for fair rates near the City Center of Munich. The rooms are lovely and offer enough space for spending a relaxed time also during the day. The library offers a warm and cosy atmosphere for reading or working.

The Ruby Lilly Hotel offer the smallest room I ever experienced in a hotel. There is no service whatsoever in the hotel. No reception (check in/out done by the barman to save costs). No room service, no housekeeping that can be contacted, no phone in the room to contact hotel staff. There is only a mini iron board on each floor and not in the rooms. No tea or coffee in the room, this is only available in the galley on each floor. Vending machien located on each floor are not refilled and are left mostly empty of basic items such as bottled water. There is only one towel per room per person. The air conditioning is noisy and inefficient. Room walls are paper thin and you can here every conversation of your neighbors. The breakfast buffet is a joke offering a very limited choice and only mini portions. Staff is unexperienced in hospitality, slow, rude.

This « hotel » offers the smallest room I have ever seen. It is no larger than the mattress itself. Very very basic room, no water, no tea or coffee just a vending machine on each floor. No iron or iron board again that a available on each floor but ironing a shirt on such a tiny iron board is a challenge. This new « concept » of hotel is driven by cost saving. As a result there is no reception. The barman checks you in when time allows. There is just one towel in the room so if you shower more than once during the day just re use your wet towel. Walls are paper thin you can participate to your neighbours conversation. Staff is rude to a joke. We asked if I could get an omelette for breakfast the answer was : no we are not a restaurant. The breakfast buffet is the worst I ever saw in a hotel. But yes the musics played at the bar is rather cool. Probably perfect youth hotel for party goers. Do not even consider if visiting for business.

The hotel is a hip hotel, with an amazing music being played at a edgie designed bar. I had a superior room and the size was okish, a smaller room would probably be very small so keep that in mind when booking. Also, what I really missed was a mini bar. It has a really nice rooftop and the whole hotel has a really thought through concept and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff on the other hand is not very pleasant and also super slow. One can sit outside for 20 minutes without being served and God forbid one has any questions for the staff. There was only one girl, Spanish I d say, that was really helpful and nice. Overall, if once really doesn’t care about the staff and the service in the hotel, this hotel is highly recommended (students etc), but if you do, then better to book something else. If they worked on their services and staff, this hotel would definitely be one of my favorite choices in Munich. The hotel I usually always book is Roomers, due to a similar design to this one, but the service there is impeccable.
