We booked a room here so that we would be within walking distance of the castles, and we were lucky enough to get a room that had windows facing both! It was unexpectedly economical and the room was very well-appointed and comfortable, even without air conditioning in mid-July. The lady who checked us in was great and helpful and pleasant.... This is in the middle of everything in this area and has a great view of the castles especially in the evening as they are lighted up. The room we stayed in was very grand and luxurious as it has a very big living and bedroom area. The bathroom were classic and modern at the same time with separate shower... More

This was an amazing hotel as it is right in the center of activity for the two castles, Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. Room #42 is a large corner room with a view of one castle from each side. The decor was opulent - rich fabric, high windows, and a large bath complete with shower, soaking tub and gold plated fixtures. One... More

We stayed here for one night in June. You must collect the key from a hotel by the main car parks on the left before you drive up to the hotel itself. We had a room upstairs in this magnificent mansion. There is no lift. The rooms were stunningly appointed and the bathrooms were very luxurious. The room had an... More

The Villa Jagerhus is exquisite - amazingly luxurious bathroom, lovely furniture, fantastic view out of bedroom window of Neuschwanstein castle - short walk to the beautiful and scenic Alpensee lake. It is quirky and gorgeous. Loved the actual building. The biggest problem was that it was situated in what felt like the middle of disneyland - with thousands of tourists... More

Visited on a trip from UK to Italy. Room we were given was absolutely beautiful - really well furnished and clean. The only downside is that there are no staff at the hotel and you have to get the key from about 0.5 km away, this in itself was very straightforward but there are no tea or coffee making facilities... The hotel was great and the staff was super helpful. We had some pillow confusion as we had extras which they accidentally took away, but they quickly resolved that. Be aware that the town is really a place tourists visit for 1 day and leave again. So, there are barely any dinner options, and it's barely reachable in the evening... More

Fantastic stay at Villa Jagerhaus!! AMAZING room for the price. The room was absolutely gorgeous, complete with sitting area and huge bathroom with soaking tub and robes! Initially, I was undecided about staying in Hohenschwangau vs. Fussen. Hohenschwangau is acutally a little village that sprung up at the base of the castles to support the tourism. During the day, the... More

Wonderful location and room! The bed was very comfortable and we loved the separate blankets. Bathroom was well appointed with both a shower and tub, double vanity, and two bathrobes. My husband loved the scent of the soap and I greatly enjoyed the adjustable shower head for height. Our room had a view of both castles which was of course... More

We really enjoyed our room and the location was excellent. Very spacious and clean rooms. You could actually relax in the tub and see the castle at night. Great views of both castles from our room. The only down side to staying here was checkin was about a kilometer away and there wasn't any breakfast at the hotel. I'm an... More
