We stayed in an apartment which was located in a separate building than the main hotel. The apartment was spacious but the room was very outdated and cold. The bathroom and kitchen was modern. The heat was turned off early in the evening and came back on early morning after I had my shower. There was no guest parking available.... More

Right in the middle of downtown Garmisch the Atlas Posthotel provides middle of the road accommodations. Certainly not the most polished hotel property I have ever been to but was just fine. Seems that each room was varied and different in terms of size and furnishings.

This is a lovely old hotel (500 years old!). The staff speaks English and is very friendly. The rooms are basic, however the bathrooms are modern. Very nice. Yes, the hotel is sitting right next to the church, so the bells do ring. But we didn't really notice it. The hotel is located in the heart of the historic district.... More

The website is a joke, our room was the worst room that we have had for years, although we had booked a de-luxe room, it was light years from the photo on the website. The hotel has a busy road on one side and a church clock tower on the other which starts ringing at 4am

We were in Garmisch for a wedding recently and stayed in this hotel. Garmisch is beautiful. This hotel is fine. But that's probably the most that could be said about it. We were glad that we had the wedding and all of the celebrations that go with it as it meant that we didn't spend too much time here. Perhaps... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights in July and were a bit dissapointed. We asked the hotel prior to our arrival whether our suite had a seperate room for our son to sleep in and they confirmed that this was available however the seperate room was only seperated by a curtain! The bathroom light above the mirror was... More

The flat was big but the kitchen was tiny. You can hardly walk around the bed in the bedroom (double bed), whereas the single ones were in the living room not against a wall (we had to swap with the kids so that my 2y old daughter wouldn't fall off the bed). The buffet breakfast was just ok - personnel... More

The Hotel is located in the Center of Garmisch, which is great if you like to stroll to walking zone with nice restaurants, but it can get too loud at night because of partying people and traffic. We chose it because we wanted to hike the Hollenthal Klamm and bike to the Eibensee and go to the top of Germany.... More

Spent a night there now in July and I was a bit disappointed. The room was very old fashioned and could do with refurbishing. The bathroom was excellent though. Just a small bottle of water in the room and with gas and no option of changing it for still water. The hotel is in the centre of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, but with... More

We stayed at Atlas Post Hotel one night in May and we had our dinner in the restaurant. We ordered asparagus soup and wild garlic soup and both soups had nearly no taste of asparagus or wild garlic! And the soups was very thin and not creamy at all. For main courses we had weal with mushed potatos. There was... More
