From the description of the hotel were rather underwhelmed when we got there. Firstly it was not easy to find especially as it had a skip on the front car park and old tables and chairs stacked alongside. The hotel sign was not easy to see. We had a message on the door of the hotel to say that no one would be at the hotel but we could pick up the key elsewhere, fortunately someone was there and was very helpful. The hotel is obviously going through some refurbishment and our room had been recently refurbished which was nice and it had a balcony with a great mountain view. The room was comfortable, neat and clean. Breakfast was adequate but it did appear that this was out of season and we may have been the only guests.

Beautiful location on the edge of town within easy walking distance of restaurants etc... substantial continental breakfast with great coffee. Room was large clean and comfortable, nice and quiet away from the town clock chimes! Ample parking hassle free.

I came here with other friends during a motorcycle trip on Saturday 7th July. The check-in desk was not attended. 20'minutes after our arrival, the cleaning lady eventually gave us the keys of our rooms although she was not able to found our booking. We set up our stuff in the rooms and then we left the hotel to have a look around. Once we came back, around 23:00 hours, we found out that there was a common birthday party with lot of screaming kind and drunk adults. We kindly requested to calm the kids down but we were told that it was a private party with no relation to the hotel. It was a very nightmer, the kids were running up to the stairs, were screaming, and doing lot of noise. We alternatively came down to the reception trying to sort this brothel out. Eventually another angry customer came down and promised to call the police and the party went finally over. We left the after hours later during the next morning. It has been the worst night ever I spent in a hotel during my all life.

I arrived at this hotel after I had made reservation in the US.The first impression, this is not what I had signed up for.The door was closed and a note at the door told me the room key was in the mailbox.Make a long story short the next morning I changed rooms. The Hotel is about 300 years old and had seen many ad ones and renovations. The room I am in now is very nice and spacious,a modern shower with nice tiles completes the room. The beds are firm and the bed frames and the Schrank, are made of pine.Having a shower in the morning,be patient it takes up to 10 minutes until the water is getting warm.Breakfast in the morning is OK,nothing fancy. The room is clean and my room faces the swimming pool and it has a nice outside sitting area.To town is about 800 meters and you will find nice shops and restaurants.

I stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is situated just 700m from the town centre, and has 19 rooms and reception that is not manned most of the time. My room appeared to be newly refurbished and the decor was a nice mix between pine wood and ceramic tiles. The room was cosy with access to the garden, and the double bed and duvets were very comfortable. There was a discomforting odour in the room, most likely from a defect airlock in the drain, and the smell was unpleasant when the bedroom windows were closed. The TV had multiple channels, but none were working in English. I raised this issue with the management, but it was not fixed during my stay. I was also missing several light-bulbs in the room, but these were replaced, when I pointed this out. Wifi was adequate, but not fast. Breakfast was good, and I must commend the staff for good service, when I arrived at 09.04 (after breakfast), and they were kind enough to make scrambled eggs for me. The hotel does have its own sauna, which one has to switch on oneself, but it did not go over 76 degrees.
