Yes, very close. About 5km, so approx. 10 min by car from the hotel parking lot (which is right out the hotel door) to the Dokumentationszentrum Obersalzberg parking lot, which is where you will get on the special buses... More
Yes, very close. About 5km, so approx. 10 min by car from the hotel parking lot (which is right out the hotel door) to the Dokumentationszentrum Obersalzberg parking lot, which is where you will get on the special buses that continue on to the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagles Nest).
As also mentioned, you can take the bus. You will get free bus passes from Hotel Bavaria to ride all the local buses. Its a short 500m walk from the hotel to the bus station. Grab the bus and it will take you to the Dokumentationszentrum Obersalzberg and you will catch the special bus as before. This will take a little longer.
