We got this address at the tourist info. It is an old Bavarian house owned by an older couple, built on the rocks, closed to the city center. The interior is still decorated like in the50s. The room was clean with a priceless view over the city and surrounding mountains. What surprised me was that they had an elevator installed in the rock below... More

We arrived here because the tourist info said it was one of only three locations available for a last minute check in with no reservations. After checking in, I read the reviews and must agree with all. Owners are friendly and helpful, place cluttered, Wifi almost worthless (I used my own hotspot), location great. Basic amenities not included (no soap... More

I can only echo the review of "Quite possibly the worst B&B ever". I am certainly not a snob nor do I have ridiculously high expectations but I AM German and I must say this guest house quite literally steals your money. It's trashy, dirty and worn... and as a German I am quite appalled at the proud prices charged... More

My husband and I have traveled all over Europe for the past three years, and we find that good hospitality is better than a 5 star hotel. Do not expect 5 stars here, but the welcome you receive is warm. Herr Jermann picked us up at the train station, and even drove two of our friends who were staying at... More

We did not have a reservation at Haus Jermann, we had only read the varying reviews on line. So when we found the place and walked up to inquire, Herr Jermann jumped up to accommodate us. His wife showed us a room that we accepted readily (#8). It was a lovely, big, quiet, clean room overlooking the roofs of the... More

We arrived late at the Gasthof Jerman, and we had a little trouble finding the place, but as soon as I called Herr Jerman, and told him where we were (we were really close), he walked down and showed us where to go. By the way we were following the GPS directions and it took us past the Berchtesgaden exit... More

I find it hard to believe that the reviews I read here are the same place we stayed! Where can I possibly begin describing this dump? This is quite possibly the worst B&B ever; I can say with certainty it is the worst we have ever stayed at. This place is run down with trash and clutter lying around everywhere.... More

We stayed in April, 2014 for three nights. It was my sister's third stay at Haus Jermann since 1968 and my first. I will definitely return. Mr. and Mrs Jermann are delightful and make every effort to make sure that you are comfortable and feel welcome in Berchtesgaden and their home. Our room was spacious with a balcony and our... More

We stayed here back in October 2013. We arranged everything a few months in advance via email communication with Rita, the property owner's daughter who is an English speaker. We let them know when we would be arriving from Munich. Everything went smoothly and Mr. Jermann, a very nice older man, greeted us at the train station. The B&B is... More

If you choose to stay here it is probably because you want an authentic Bavarian old fashioned stay and that is what is offered here. It is a nice place with a nice view and a little balcony and it is close to all the facilities around town. You'll have to do without those things you might take for granted... More

“If you are traveling with children or 3 or 4 family members, they have a family room with a table and chairs and a small separate room with two beds and a skylight. It was perfect for us....there were 3 of us. We also had VERY good television reception for the few times that we watched TV. When we opened the windows the fresh air and view were priceless. It was the first of April and still too chilly to sit on our private balcony.”
