We absolutely adored this gorgeous bavarian style pension haus. The Sattlers (owners) were marvellous hosts and provided great info and hospitality. Such sweethearts! Brigette especially went above and beyond as a host. The rooms were lovely and the view from the balcony ... breathtaking. Well located and very delightful stay!

Just back from our first trip to Germany. We spotted this accomodation on the net and booked it based on the reviews. It easily lived up to our expectations and indeed exceeded them in all areas. The apartment (no 7) had two beautiful bedrooms, separate WC and a combined living room & kitchen. The views from the balcony were spectacular.... More

We were there in autumn 2011 and we spent here beautiful days. Guesthouse itself is equipped in traditional Bavarian style, but Mrs. Sattler - or Brigitte - equipped internal space of guesthouse with lot of teddy bears in different roles and poses. I have no problem with it, my wife loves it. Brigitte also provided us many useful information about... More

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment at Haus am Berg. This apartment was well located and well set up to allow us to prepare our own breakfast. The only problem with the kitchen if you want to be doing a lot of cooking is that there is absolutely no counter space. If you are not planning to use the... More

As the name suggests this place is perched on top of Berchtesgaden. So it might be inconvinient to climb if you do not have a car. There is a bus that stop a few slopes below, but walking up that part can also be a treacherous climb for some. That was the only con of this place. Once you reach... More

I was there with my boyfriend september 2011, and if we ever planning a trip to Berchtesgarden again, this will be the place. Mr. and Mrs Sandler were lovely, even though mrs. Sandlers english could be better, and Mr. Sandler does not speak english at all, but he does just all the menwork in the house, so it doesn't really... More

We stayed six nights in late May in Room 4, with a large balcony facing west rather than south but still with fantastic views of the Watzmann. The guesthouse is on a residential street, close to the center of town but up a steep hill from the train station and even the nearest bus stop. The local tourist tax (a... More

The Guest House am Berg is situated in the picturesque township of Berchtesgaden, south Germany. The town is surrounded by the Alps including Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest where many of the policies of the Nazi Party were developed. In winter, covered with snow these Alps must be spectacular but we were more than happy with the stunning views in all directions.... More

My wife and I Love Berchtegaden in Bavaria and Frau Sattler (or Brigitte as she likes to be called) made our stay very welcome. With a choice of breakfast and the room with alpine views cleaned daily we would recommend you try this place out. They have been awarded 3 stars in the guesthouse guide and deserve them all.
