- Comfortable hotel, - delicious meals, - nice surrounding, - good starting point to explore Bavarian Alps.We succeeded to see a lot of legacy of Ludwig II (good location to balance travels between München, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, castles in Schawangau, Linderhof, and Chiemsee)

One of your eating or function rooms with the Kachelofen was rather uncomfortable to sit in. Whilst it looked rustic it was quite an endurance to sit through the dinner, when you also seemed to be short of staff, making the dinner even last longer.
Rooms are big enough but already dated, bathroom is old but clean, the beds are ok but a boxspring schould be prefable, good breakfast en top location, beautifull terras near the lake and the center town
Beautiful setting with early morning dips in the clean lake. Staff could be more friendly, but they were helpful although not much English was spoken. Can be noisy at night with wedding parties and large groups. No air conditioning or fans in bedrooms made sleeping difficult.
"Higher floors and in the southern wing have better views."
"In fact is not a beach front, but a seefront, lake front hotel"
"Room 206 was a nice single with dual aspect. Avoid 225 unless you want to mop up your shower water each time you use the shower!"
"Ask for rooms with both lakeside and mountain views - not those facing the main street (although that is not too busy)."
"Rooms at rear of building overlook the lake"
