This is a really good hotel in a good location. Rooms are huge and beds are really comfy. Nothing bad to say about them to be honest ticked all the boxes for us (well most) just one thing if you stay here ask for a room not on the front as the noise from the street is horrendous!!! It's like... More

Got a simple and clean room, with not much more than a couple of beds and a small TV. The location is great and there's parking available at the nearby Gerber mall for 16 euros a day. The only fault we've noticed is the church bells that rang throughout the morning and woke us up (it was a Saturday morning).

The only good thing is the location right in the center , a short walk to the main pedestrian shopping district . Everything in the hotel looks cheap. The reception is not friendly. There is a strong cigarette smell in the stairs. The receptionist looked bored and tired. The rooms were very big and clean, but with old and cheap furniture, half... Good: Very close to Stuttgart downtown; well connected to public transportation; Free wifi; Room was spacious and clean Ok: The concierge was willing and ambitious; however the look and feel of the reception and entre does not necessarily make you feel at home; room on the top floor could get quite hot during summer days; all ok considering the room... We had a good experience at this budget hotel. The rooms were very clean and serviced daily, not to mention very big!! The hotel reception had a distinct cigarette smell about it but you are still allowed to smoke indoors in some places in Germany anyhow which may explain why. Our room itself though was fine. The location was fantastic,... More

The room was clean which is the most important and the location is great. Room is equipped with just necessary furniture, cheapest possible. The whole building is the like the cheapest way to adapt the old apartment building in to a hotel. On the checkout day, before I came down, the girl on the front desk already charged the bill... When we checked in there was a woman as receptionist, she was really unorganised. She was not sure how much we payed and she wasn't sure if our room was cleaned. The breakfast costs 8€, we didn't try but we think it's too expensive. We got our room and it seems like it's a storage room for unused beds? There... More

Very disappointing experience as we arrived early in the afternoon with our kids and the hotel was overbooked. It seemed very normal to the receptionist and we had to go to a different hotel. The lobby looked quite bad the location seems great.

The Merit is conveniently located in a pedestrian area of the city centre, about 5 mins walk from the subway. The building exterior is an interesting 19C design but the inside has been completely modernised. With the exception of the stairs, any original internal decorations have been purged with Teutonic efficiency to create a clean and modern if sterile ambiance.... More

The hotel is very well located, rooms was a big enough and the bathroom is clean. That's it, good for a night stay. As for the service, it's really bad :( The lady at the reception told me that there is no room for me as there was a problem in the system and got overbooked so they reserved for... More
