Booked this with friends when visiting cannstatter Volksfest as it is halfway between the festival site and the centre. It is a bit out of the way and in a very hilly area if you are walking though. Quiet, basic and comfortable would be my description. The rooms could do with a bit of modernisation but are clean and spacious.... More

We booked a room for 2 + a dog... in the evening we decided to buy the breakfast for the next day (17 euro). In the morning they said that the dog is not allowed at the breakfast (why they didn't say in the evening when we pay?????). The lady of the staff didn't speak a word of english!!! So... More

We read the reviews which were mixed but felt that it might be ok: it is not. The staff were pleasant but that is probably the only good thing about the hotel and why we have rated it poor and not terrible. We had to pay 15 euros to park. Our room was at the top of the hotel and... More

Visit totally marred by such a rude receptionist. The hotel was tired the furniture was thread bare no towels until requested. Having extensively travelled for business and pleasure I expect to get what I pay for but the attitude of the staff is the worst I have ever come across

Without doubt this is an small but great hotel at Sttutgart. Long time ago (1993) I had opportunity to stay when was “Hotel Bergmeister” and was atended by Bergmeister family and Mr. Thomas (owner) was charm and friendly. Now, I see that hotel suffer a nice remodelation and name change to “Astoria am Urachplatz”, with pleasure notice that service hasn’t... More

We were in this hotel only for one night and it was not possible to stay in the room, because it was too hot inside. It was about 30-35 degrees (in the end of june), the LUX room (lux for 7 adults on the 5 th floor) was not equipped with an air-conditioner. We asked the receptionist do they have... More

We stayed here for two nights in a three bed room. We booked online & apparently made a ridiculous saving by doing so, let me say if we had have paid the initial price of $1000EUR for two nights I would have been furious! The woman who checked us in was short & only informed us that if we were... More

We got a room at the basement in another building (the one with the "wirlpool"): - it smelled of cigarette smoke - the sheet had big holes in it - the shower did not have any holder (you need one hand just to hold it) - after you shower, the humidity is incredibly high and you need to open the... We didn't seem to experience any of the other problems which other reviews mention. On arrival the woman spoke great English and was very helpful in explaining the transport, she even printed out the zones for us. My friend and I both actually commented on the room smelling nice when we arrived and the beds were very fresh and clean... More
