Nice atypical and Beautiful hotel in the center of the old city!! I really enjoyed my stay, staff was kind and helpful. The Hotel is calm and close to facilities. I would definitely book again for my next stay in this beautiful city.

We arrive very early in the morning at the Hotel , and the front of house staff were brilliant they managed to get us a room for early check in which was great! The fun part about the hotel is all the differently decorated rooms we were in Malolo , which was fun , but a bit hot in the... More

We were staying in this nice personal hotel just one night (room Rome). When arriving, there was noise in bar downstairs and we were worried a little, but our room was quite and so nice decorated - so the night we slept like babies. Breakfast was fine, nothing extraordinary, would have been nice to have a list of all warm... More

We stayed here for 2 nights recently as a finale to our 2 week tour of Germany. The hotel is situated in the old town, a short walk from the marktplatz and the cable car to the Schloss. Fantastic rooms, all themed to different cities throughout the world. My wife and I stayed in 'Rome', my children in 'New York'.... More

Well located, clean, free wifi, carefully decorated rooms - each with an individual theme. There is no air conditioning, but even in July this was not a big issue for me as the temperature at night was amenable. I will definitely return.

I was originally booked in the "Down Under" room. This is the room where everything is upside down. Although the concept is neat, the room was clean, and it did make for a great conversation piece...the bed was not comfortable. In order to give the room its true feel as you enter it, the bed you sleep on must be... More

The rooms are named after various cities, and if our room was any indication of the level of detail invested, they must all be most interesting. We stayed in the Delhi room, complete with our very own shrine, to further suggest the atmosphere of India. The smooth check-in process, the strong wifi signal, and the location in the heart of... Right in the heart of Heidelberg's Old Town on Hauptstrasse, the Hip Hotel is full of creative character and also has an excellent restaurant. Each room is themed and we stayed in Rome, which was quite big and had a fantastic brick shower, Julius Caesar bust and framed ceiling painting. Sounds a bit corny, but it was actually quite classy.... More

One of my favourite hotels to stay - full stop. Themed rooms are good fun - I've stayed in many of them now. Service is always very good, breakfast choices are more than ample and in a beautiful old setting. Restaurant also a very good dinner choice, though you do have many options throughout the Altstadt. Highly recommended

We really liked this place! It mixed tradition with imagination, the themed room were a fantastic idea. We had the Zermatt room, generously sized with ample space for 4 and the exploding luggage. Great location in the heart of the Altstadt, easy walk to the castle and the Philosophenweg. Lots of handy bakeries and cafes, we'd definitely stay here again.
