While the hotel isn't bad, it's relatively expensive, and for that price, the quality should be much better. - no elevator - spotty wifi connection (the 2nd night I was there, it basically didn't work) - thin walls so you hear noises from the street and hallway - breakfast took to long to come, so I had to skip out...

The negative things I noticed: Nothing to mention. But travelers with light luggage can feel more comfortable as the hotel doesn't have elevator. Also everyday they took me to another hotel for having breakfast as they don't have a restaurant of their own. The positive ones: The stuff were amazing. I was sick couple of days and they treated me...

Promised me good free wifi. My mother had a massive stroke. I really wanted to speak to her one last time. Asked to switch rooms. Was told by Reinhard Raschke they were full. Find out thay had rooms with good wifi. My mother died and I did not get to say goodbye to her. Thank you Reinhard. You are a...

We had tiniest room. TV did not work. Wifi did not work. Free breakfast cost us 8 euro each. Tried to change rooms but were told they were full. Found out later that they were not full. Front desk said why did we not ask for another room as they had them. We said we did ask. Very disappointed. Manager...

Currently at Hotel Denner. Smallest room imaginable. Brochure says free breakfast. No! 8 euro per person. Says free wifi. No wifi on our floor. TV does not work. No elevator. Nice girl at front desk. Apologizes for hotel's shortcomings. Realize it is not her fault. Travelers stay away from this dump.

This no-frills but comfortable hotel has a great location convenient for the sights, the river, the university and shopping. No restaurant but excellent breakfast comes in next-door cafe-bar, and many many nearby eating options. Great for a 2- or 3-day visit to this beautiful city.

We went to Heidelberg to spend the New Year's eve and we booked in this hotel because it is close to Hauptstrasse (old city, the largest street in Germany). This is the only good thing of this hotel. Otherwise the wood floor is so old and noisy that you probably can't rest if there are more guests in your floor....

The positives about Denner are location and friendliness. The hotel is on Bismarckplatz, at the head of the old town and well connected to the railway station by tram and bus. I had a top floor room at the back, with a view of a blank wall. Quiet, of course. The wifi worked well. The room was clean and large,...

Basic room. Kept awake by street noise that did not subside until 4 am Sunday morning. Good, if not extensive breakfast. Might have done better to eat at nearby bakery. Coffee was very good though. Nearby parking. Not too far from old town. Would not make a return stay, but it was fine.

I liked my room very much, huge, nicely furnished and the manager was very nice and helpful. Downstairs is a nice Café also with young and friendly staff. The breakfast is included, but yes it's very basic. But all in all a good stay! I liked it and I will be back!
