We stayed two nights at the Tannhäuser Hotel and breakfast and service were perfect. The very nice staff was helpful. The location of the hotel is really convenient close to the main shopping area and a 15min walk from the funicular to the castle. We will return for sure.

Once I walked in I was very pleasantly greeted by Kevin, who also gave us a great recommendations for beer and brat. As you go to your room look around at all the little details that give this place its great personality. A rustic, cool joint that you love to come home to. The breakfast was delicious, with a lot... Very nice hotel, located in city center. There is a good public parking nearby, open 24h. Rooms are very well furnished, simple but with style (at least my room). Big bathroom, good breakfast area (no restaurant inside, but there are plenty outside) Young and friendly staff !

Walking from the station may be a bit too much with a suitcase. Take a tram or taxi. Easy access from here into the old town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Pleasant reception on arrival. Breakfast was fine and plenty in a quiet area. Room spacious, bathroom good enough.

My wife and I booked our stay through booking.com at the Hotel Tann Hauser at the last minute after our reservation was cancelled at the Holiday Inn Express in Heidelberg. We took the train from Frankfort to Heidelberg and the hotel is an easy 15 min walk from the main train station and right at the pedestrian walkway which leads... More

My husband uses this regularly as a business hotel as it is great value for money, so I assumed it would be quite basic. When I accompanied him during last week I was very surprised that the hotel was so lovely with beautifully individual decor and quirky fixtures. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a real... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The reason I give it 4 stars as opposed to 5 is because there was no elevator and we had to drag our suitcases up and down four flights of stairs. The breakfast was amazingly delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and the bathrooms were roomy.... More

Huge room. This hotel is under rated. The only reason it didn't get a perfect score is the lack of an elevator. Very clean and across the street from the major shopping street and sights. Breakfast was very good, bed big and comfortable, big clean bathroom. Dont let the rating fool you on this one. A fabulous deal.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Not the best rooms but clean. Doesn't make it clear that parking is not easy. No tea and cof fee making facilities. No air conditioning.Heidelberg was lovely. Would probably use again mainly because of location.

The word “honest” came to my mind when I was thinking about the best characteristic of this hotel. You don’t have any surprises you just get what you expect. I stayed 2 nights in a standard double room at the back of the hotel: asked for a quiet room in advance and got it. LOCATION: It’s conveniently located not far... More
