This quiet 3 stars hotel is located in an old house in the center of Baden-Baden. Reachable by car to deliver the luggage and then there are several parkings available at walking distance of the hotel. The reception part still respires the seventies, and same for the elevator but the rooms are well maintained , functional and with an excellent sleeping confort. The typical German breakfast was excellent. The owner himself prepares you excellent eggs. So definitively a great address if you are just looking for a good sleep and a good breakfast, offered at an excellent price/quality ratio. By the owner and the decoration you feel that this hotel stores a lot of good memories what makes a difference in this category of hotels.

The hotel is in the centre of town so has a great location. However, as there is no aircon it can be noisy with the windows open. The room was large, but the decoration was dated. The parking is on the street outside the hotel and there are limited spaces. The breakfast was pretty good and it was nice to be able to eat it outside. The staff were not the most friendly people I've ever met.

This is not a luxury hotel, but is clean and comfortable. Rooms are a good size.

Extremely conveniently located for the spas and the city centre, just a minute walk to both.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Like I say, not luxurious, but clean, comfortable and very good value for money.

We have stayed at this 3 star hotel on a number of occasions. It has a rather charming eccentricity about it, with its old fashioned furniture and friendly owners who never change. The breakfast is excellent. It is In a perfect position in the town, a stone’s throw from the Caracalla thermal baths, near the shops and away from traffic noise. We always enjoy our visits to beautiful Baden Baden and staying at this hotel. We have given this hotel a 5 star rating as although it is a simple 3 star establishment it gives excellent value for money and a warm welcome.

This is an old hotel in the best location for the spas and the pedestrian area. It is not boutique chic or Accor group slick it is however fun. The menu is a mess written in about 7 different typefaces but the food is always good, served quickly by the friendly waiter. The entrance is a mess too but in an old fashioned interesting way full of old pictures and postcards.

There are plastic lobsters and a backwards clock on display which the children love! The apple strudel is just the thing on a cold day. Eating on the terrace next to a lovely old fountain is wonderful in summer.
I must stress though that the whole hotel is CLEAN. We have never had a problem with cleanliness.

Thank goodness hotels like this still exist, we always enjoy staying here (about 12 times now) and wouldn't change any of it.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we found this hotel to be the least pleasant of any of our trip around Germany. The rooms were clean and large which was nice but other than that, there wasn't much to recommend it. Staff were particularly unfriendly and unhelpful except when my husband and I went to pay our bill! We were also told there was parking at the hotel but this ended up not being quite true. There were a couple of spaces but they were full and you could only park there after 10 pm. My husband and I ended up paying for the car to be parked at a nearby garage but we would have stayed at a different hotel had we known we could not park on site. Both nights we were there, an intruder's alarm kept going off on the building next door and no one seemed able to turn it off. After two nights of these awful sirens and little sleep because of them, my husband and I were quite stressed. The food was ok but sometimes questionable. For example, there were 'bits and pieces' (I don' t know of what) in the hot water for tea and egg shells in the omelettes.. Also, you could get breakfast up until 10 am and at exacly 10 am staff cleared away all the food - but most guests seem to come for breakfast between 9:30 and 10 am and weren't quite finished. At any rate, it's overpriced for what you get and you would do better to look around first for a better deal.

This may be a no thrills family-run hotel but the rooms are clean and spacious and the location is excellent. The staff is friendly and you receive a welcome drink on arrival. We actually got a free upgrade to a room on the top floor with a magnificent view of Friedrichsbad Spa. Standard breakfast buffet, eggs, toast, fruit cheese etc. The hotel is not fancy but considering the price and location it is a very good deal for Baden-Baden.

Don't let the reception desk scare you. My wife and I stayed here on a Friday evening for fun. My wife booked this place on short notice (the day of arrival), so we didn't have a lot of reasonably priced options available.

If using the GPS to get there, the hotel is not on the main street, so the best thing to do is park in the public lot on VincentistraBe, which a is a 1 min walk from the hotel. There is no parking at the hotel, but you can park overnight in the public lot for 9 euro.

When we arrived at the reception desk, I was having second thoughts. It was a scary mess, and we waited 5 minutes for some one to greet us. The man at the reception desk was very kind, although a little quirky.

If you're staying on an upper floor, the elevator is small and very old. The hallway lights need to be activated manually and work on a timing system. If you plan to use wi-fi, ask for the password at the front desk when you check-in. We had reliable wi-fi for our entire stay.

Once we arrived in our room, I was actually pleasantly surprised. We stayed in room 344, and it was very clean and spacious. About 2 minutes later there was a knock at the door, and we were welcomed with 2 glasses of champagne.

Overall, the accommodations were fine. I'm usually pretty picky about hotels, but this one was not bad despite the first impression at the reception desk. The hotel was mostly quiet, except it can be noisy when the neighbors are entering or existing their room. The noise only seems to come from the hallway, however, not from the adjacent rooms.

Breakfast was included in our stay, and like our room, it was satisfactory. Nothing to get excited about, but we left content.

Overall, I'd say a short 1-2 night stay here will be just fine, especially if you don't want to pay a lot. The city of Baden-Baden is OK. Other than the shopping and well manicured landscape, I don't really understand why this city is a hotspot.

Arranged by the tourist information in town. Room very hot, even with windows open. No air conditioning. Staff rather surly, not pleasant at all. Tried to sleep in bed, room and mattress stuffy and odorous. Decor excessive and dated. Buffet breakfast in morning was good.
