The core of this hotel is an 1870s villa which retains its essentially original charms inside and out, including a pretty garden. Its dining areas, used for the excellent breakfast included in the room price, are very attractive, including for the antique furniture. The hotel also throws in complimentary afternoon tea in front of the very convincing fake open fire. The pick of the rooms are the quiet ones facing the garden on the first floor in the main building. But the hotel also has rooms in surrounding buildings. We had one in a converted second floor attic of a neighbouring building which faced a couple of nearby roads. There was some traffic noise but by the time we realised this we didn’t have the energy to figure out the air conditioning. So choose rooms carefully. The hotel is a few minutes’ walk to central Baden-Baden and its attractions. It also has parking (€20 or so a night). Friendly suggestion to the staff: drop the face masks. But overall recommended and reasonably priced by the standards of Baden-Baden’s other historic hotels.…
Charming and ‘Bridgerton’ like atmosphere . Stayed the first 2 nights in a smaller building on the hotel grounds . Very quiet and peaceful , to be awaken by the birds chirpings is a delight . Outstanding and beyond the call of of duty - was the service of Mikhail and Leon . Danke You have made the amazing difference to our memorable stay . Really hope to return .Bis bald .
We travelled in July 2021 (sorry for late review!), as a 3 night getaway for my wife and I. This hotel makes you feel like you're stepping into the past (as a wealthy traveller!) from the moment you turn up, it is absolutely beautiful with ornate, period decor, outstanding old fashioned service (both very friendly and helpful, and extremely smart team). It's an oasis within the city, with beautiful gardens, terrace and sitting rooms where you can have tea/coffee and cake in front of a roaring log fire or at a shady table in the garden. Very tranquil and a real treat. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite (think it was Brahms?), with a jacuzzi...oh my god! Room was large, ornate and very clean, we loved it. Good breakfast too, and car parking is easy. The location is just right for walking into town or through the river valley/park. Thanks to all the staff, we loved it,…
We stayed for two nights at the Belle Epoque Hotel and completely enjoy the experience.. The hotel is decorated in Fin de Siecle French style. Each room has a name as well as a number. We got the Marie Antoinette room. The room was beautifully decorated in blue, with colorful kitchy paintings. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi bathtub and was wonderfully convenient. A special thing about this hotel are the lovely Hotel gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to lie about on the lounges at the garden, listen to the birds and do nothing. The location of the hotel is perfect. All the attractions of bad and Baden now within a short walking distance. The rich buffet breakfast with a large choice of bread, fruit, eggs, dairy products and cured meats is included in the price of the stay. Since we stayed in the Mary Antoinette room we expected to eat cakes instead of bread, but fortunately that did not happen. On the second night we had to leave the hotel at 3:00 in the morning in order to get to the airport. The hotel stuff was kind enough to prepare for us coffee and some bread butter and jam as a very early breakfast in the middle of the night.. One drawback is the lack of an elevator. Our friend had to carry her bags two flights up in steep stairs. The stuff was extremely helpful during our stay. They helped us print all the Corona related documentation which we had to present at the airport Overall, we highly recommend this hotel…
Stayed here last month in the family two bedroom suite. Perfect for us 3. Quiet, comfortable and the annex was off to the side of the hotel for added privacy. The staff are excellent and reception as well. All very professional and wanting to help make our stay smooth and happy. We will definitely return. Thank you.
The main house is quite beautiful and charming. The welcoming was a bit „over“ as the behaved like superior houses. We had even to wait before someone showed us the way to our room. That person was not to engaged. He went upfront, didn’t talk and ask once and quickly „you get along with your suitcases“. The room is clean, but the ac old and not cleaned for a long time. As it is 38 degree - not really as fancy as the lobby. No hygienic gel offered or even on the room as in many three star houses and I did already knocked my head twice in the tiny room as the chandelier is at 1,70m and the usage of the restroom is only possible While seated. So in general. Nice main building, just a bit disappointed about the leaks in welcoming people. They ask for our names, had the wrong booking date, wrong duration, nominiert about the Tesla destination Charger i booked upfront and yeah - the tiny room. The pics are promising far more. So if you don’t look into Expedia pics but on TripAdvisor pics you’ll have the right expectation. …
We had a wonderfull stay at Hotel Belle Epoque in Baden-Baden! Definitely worth a visit if you are visiting Baden-Baden. The hotel is located downtown, so you can walk to most restaurants and attractions. The staff were so nice and friendly ☺️👌
This lovely mansion was full of quiet joy. The room was spacious and well furnished in the styles of the both first and second French Empires. The multilingual staff was helpful and fun to chat with. We felt as though we were living amongst friends. The common rooms were especially beautiful, as were the gardens. The breakfast was ample and delicious. The neighborhood was quiet and only a short walk from the spas and center of town.
It’s hard to understate how much we enjoyed the Hotel Belle Epoque. This gorgeous hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood that’s, frankly, not easy to get to for those of us who are not familiar with Baden Baden. But, once you find it, you will certainly be in for a treat if you like accommodations with a but of luxury and first class service but can live without an on-site restaurant or bar. We booked a ‘family room’, which turned out to be a two room, two story suite. Both rooms had full baths with very comfortable beds and tasteful furnishings. It was extremely quiet and comfortable. The reception desk/concierge directed us to their sister hotel about 50 meters away for dinner. This turned out to be one of the highlights of our 9 day trip through Germany. In addition, they arranged a driver for us to take us into Strasbourg for a day to visit the Christmas Markets there. Since my wife has a difficult time walking long distances, this was worth the expense rather than taking the train. We’d go back.…
This is a fantastic place to stay: the hotel and its rooms are so stylish and majestic, a beautiful garden, very friendly and accommodating staff and all bang in the centre of Baden Baden. We had a wonderful time and felt very taken care of - thank you!
