DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PLACE they are absolutely completely utterly useless and will do their absolute upmost to keep your money that you are rightfully owed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They ignore your calls and make up lies about the payment/refunds so that they can get out of refunding you, they even ignore booking.com and tell them lies about the transaction so that they can get out of refunding a large sum of money. They are actually trying to steal our money that we are fully entitled to having refunded, they are absolute scumbags that do not deserve your custom. ZERO customer service, they DO NOT CARE AT ALL! Absolutely appalling.
WARNING!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. We have been waiting since March 2021 for a refund, they have ignored us and are now ignoring booking.com. They have said we have disputed it with our bank which is utter lies. They will not provide proof that they have refunded because they haven't. If you are booking from anywhere other than France I would AVOID at all costs as they will not answer the phone, they will lie and they will ignore you. Booking.com need to immediately remove them from their partners.
I booked this property with Booking with a free cancellation if needed. On the 11th July they took a deposit of over £700 of which they stated, would be refunded if I changed my mind. Today, 3rd September - I am still awaiting the refund and I doubt this will happen. Booking have washed their hands of it stating it is nothing to do with them. Be very careful of booking with this chalet.
We are a group of 4 guys in our early 20s and go skiing every January when prices are cheapest. We generally book the cheapest accommodation possible and have stayed in some utter dumps in our time. I have seen a few horribly negative reviews about cleanliness, deposits not being returned, rude staff and the pool being broken and I just want to add a bit of positivity and say that it's nowhere near as bad as these people make out. Firstly, while the hotel doesn't have modern decor, the hotel is certainly clean and we came across no dirty sheets or mattresses as reported in other reviews. The staff were always particularly helpful (Helene was great) and made us feel welcome during our stay. I'm terms of deposits, we booked through sunweb and before arriving we believed that our room required a €500 deposit as this is what was stated online. We were happy to hear on arrival to the hotel that the deposit was in fact only €200. We got all of our deposit back at the end of our stay. I think as long as you are respectful during your stay and leave your room clean and tidy for the next guests then you'll get your deposit back. The heated outdoor pool and sauna was open daily from 5pm to 7:30pm and after a long hard day's skiing it was really cool to get the weight off our legs and float about in the pool surrounded by mountains. It was great to have luxury facilities like this in a hotel at this price range. Chalets de solaise are definitely aimed at the budget conscious in Val d'isere however for us we found there was absolutely nothing wrong. Val d'isere is an incredibly expensive place and accommodation like this is the only reason we could afford to enjoy one of the best resorts in the world. I'd say if you are looking for anything lavish and luxurious or are coming with kids then you should probably look elsewhere. …
This was the 4th time I’ve stayed here and under the current management standards have fallen well below acceptable levels. Rude, uncaring and unhelpful management. Dirty apartment. Room not tidied or cleaned. Old bedding left in room and on pillows. Blocked sink. Leaking pipe work. Flooded room. All male groups of youths created a noisy, threatening and unsafe environment. WiFi did not work. Complaints to the manager were dismissed or just ignored and the impression was given that anti social behaviour was tolerated. My list of complaints is very long and significantly abbreviated for this review. I fully support and agree with the other reviews of this accommodation.
