Good option for the single skiing traveller. Car parking underground over the main road with easy access. Probably could go for a cheaper breakfast in the cafe next to the hotel. Very nice staff and complimentary post ski tea and cakes.
Having read some of the previous reviews I was slightly worried about my stay at Auberge Saint-Hubert. However, I should not have worried. I agree our room was quite small and other than opening the window we could not control the heat but these minor inconveniences were more than made up by the wonderful welcome we received from the owners and all of the staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble. All of the meals were excellent. The hotel and bedrooms were spotlessly clean. The hotel was in an ideal location in Val d'Isere and very close to the free bus service which, if you did not want to walk to the lifts, dropped you off at them. I would stay here again.
I was recently in Valdizaire for a weeks skiing holiday and had the pleasure of staying in room 208 with my pearents and I was really impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom area. Evening meals during my stay were really great and even the desert were delicious and the levels of service was simply impeccable, I really enjoyed the cakes and drink after skiing and meeting the beutiful dog. Thanks for a wonderful weeks holiday.
Smallest room, overpriced. Bare basic. Can’t control heat, no safe, terrible WiFi. Old style locks, 10 min walk to lifts. Major disappointment. No onsite parking. The pictures on their website are not accurate. Motel 6 is an upgrade from this place. It reminds me of those adult motels you rent by the hour. Don’t say I told you so. Their so called 4 star rating must be for how thin the walls are.
After reading the reviews on this site I was very worried about what to expect. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. Firstly, this is a 3-4 star hotel (depending on which sites you look at) therefore expectation should be set as such. Being in Val D’Isere there are plenty of 5 star accommodations, but they come with 5 Star prices. We were on the second floor at the rear of the hotel and the rooms are perfectly adequate for two people. We had room to walk around the beds, a double wardrobe and a really good sized bathroom with bath and shower over. The bathroom also comes with soap for the sink and shower, a little complementary vanity pack and a hair dryer (the kind that is fixed to the wall). There is no tea or coffee making facilities. We also had a balcony, but this only looked out onto the back of other hotels, but you could get a glimpse of the slopes The only criticism I agree with is the temperature of the rooms, they are really hot at night so we propped our balcony door open with the curtain shut over the top. This worked very well. We were half board with buffet breakfast and a set menu each night. However, if you don’t like something on the menu, just say and they will offer an alternative. The food was really nice wholesome food with a fondue night and raclette night. We also found the staff to be really friendly, a smile and a please and thank you goes a long way. The location is very good with the bus stop just over the road for the complementary local bus. However, this hotel is not ski in/out…
