The staff, on the whole, are good. The decking area on the edge of the lake is lovely. The bad bits Super... More

What a wonderful relaxing hotel/monastery , very comfortable and quiet . The smell of waxed floors and the small entry doors to the rooms will be in my memory forever. Charming place. Went for dinner at Pere Bise so can not tell you about the restaurant

Best possible location on the lake. Swim from the hotels private pier. Eat breakfast or dinner in a superb and stunning garden. Service friendly and impeccable. Fast internet. No traffic, totally quiet and relaxing. Will be back.

Absolutely loved this hotel, I didn't want to leave! Waking up to a view over Lake Annecy was a memorable moment. This rooms are former monks cells in an ancient monastery, and surprisingly big rooms especially the suites which are wonderful. The restaurant is fabulous, gourmet meals, gastronomic in the true sense of the word and as for the wine, don't... More

We stayed for two nights and wished we'd booked for longer. We were upgraded to a suite without asking, and had a solid room and view. The Staff were excellent, and the location breathtaking. We were not able to dine in, but there are many other high quality restaurants in the locality that were first class.

A fairytale wedding to attend as friends of the bride's parents, the setting was stunning, looking out over the lake. The rooms were full of character as you would expect in a former monastery, and the amenities were all there to be enjoyed. The food was superb, although this was for the wedding so might possibly not be typical, but... More

Lovely old charm building overlooking the Lake that is joining Annecy. This hotel belonged to the monks since the 17th century, but they are long gone,to be replaced by tourists from all over Europe and the World. It's a nice place to rest and enjoy Talloires in the back drop of the French Alps!! Rooms are very nice, bathroom terrific with... More

Enchanting venue. Spectaculars views. Excellent base for sightseeing the area & other activities. Perfect base for cycling nearby passes or around the lake. Also, the dining experience is truly sensational, especially out on the terrace during the warmer months. Sommelier really nailed the local wine matching. Highly recommended!
