Whether it be the classic cheese fondue or the meats cooked on the "pierrade" stone, a real Mountain experience is garenteed at the Algage restaurant. Good service, authentic decoration. Special mention for the famous Mont Blanc dessert. This is what you expect in Megeve.

We visited for the New Year holiday. The hotel offered warmth, style, great service and fantastic food. Just perfect for a winter holiday. The chef surpassed himself with a new year dinner which was both inventive and delicious. The filet of beef and 'vegetable garden' was exceptional. A wonderful Alpine experience was thoroughly enjoyed; another visit to this hotel is...

Can't complain about anything other than that it's not a ski-in/out place. And the ski resort at Megeve is not great unless you're a beginner. But there are much nicer ski resorts close by so won't count this against them. The food is fabulous, the spa amazing. the rooms wonderful. The standard is very high, the only place better so...

We have stayed twice now over Feb half term and have booked for next year. I have not been to any other ski resort. My husband has and also goes to Megeve to stay with friends. This hotel was recommended by friends who own a chalet nearby. He thought it looked the nicest and it does not disappoint. It is...

Stayed here in July for the Tour de France. Hotel was okay but didn't live anywhere near up to 5 star standards. Probably the place to stay in Winter, in Summer its dark and quiet with unhelpful staff. On the positive it's a great location and the view from the balcony was impressive.

Really nice bar to feel at home after a long day of skiing, great cuisine, very kind staff, good bed and silent at night though close in the center, constant shuttle to the slopes. The atmosphere is chalet style and really gives you a true Megeve experience.

On 22nd of August 2015, my wife and I booked a massage of 1h20 in the duo massage room of Le Fer à Cheval SPA, for 275 euro. The massage which was given to us was really very good and we did not get disappointed at all. Both of us were really happy, glad and satisfied, knowing that we had...

We prefer staying in historic hotels and Le Fer a Cheval has an excellent mix of history, classic Alpine decor and great service. It was lovely to have a swim in the pool and rest by the poolside after a day of skiing. The breakfast was also excellent! We stayed there in late March and would love to come back...

Very nice traditional Alpine-style hotel with a lovely interior. Lot's of wood everywhere. Open fireplace in the lobby area. The lighting in the rooms is indeed barely adequate, but that's really almost the only drawback. And don't take a room directly above the bar. Food was great and so was the spa.
