Be enchanted by the Carlton Lyon hotel, located on the peninsula. Despite being fully renovated in 2013, it has retained its authenticity and personality, blending contemporary comfort with sophistication. Relax in one of the 80 tastefully decorated rooms or in the cozy atmosphere of the bar. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the Bellecour metro stop and is the ideal base for exploring Lyon, with its opera house, museums, the St. Jean cathedral and more. Located between the Rhone and Saone rivers, the Carlton Lyon hotel was built in 1894 as a "petit palace" in Lyon. Punctuated by its forged iron balconies, dome and rotundas, its splendid Haussmann facade echoes the refinement of its historical decor. The hotel's "Signature" rooms also highlight artists who have stayed there. Travelers will appreciate immersing themselves in the splendid adornments of the many talents that have visited the hotel.

This hotel was a lovely surprise. We were very correctly checked in and got a lovely, spacious room with a private balcony overlooking one of the lovely squares of Lyon. We chose to have breakfast served in the room and the meal was enjoyed on the balcony. Enjoyed a drink in the lovely hotel bar.

Just ok, not worth the price. Small room, the parking and breakfast were overpriced, and the breakfast was very mediocre. However, location is great and polite service. Fine for one night stay, but would not suggest for longer.

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your experience following your stay in our hotel. We're deeply sorry to read that you didn't enjoy your stay. Regarding the breakfast could you tell us what disapponted you ? At the Carlton Hotel we always to improve ourselves. For the room, if you figure out that it is too small, don't hesitate to contact our front desk agents so we can find a solution as we have many room types from 15m² to 40m². Finally regarding the parking, I'm quite surprised about the remark as we charge it 29 euros per night (no matter what time you arrive and no matter what time you leave). As a comparaison, when you go to the parking yourselves you will be charged more than 35 euros for 24h without the service. We stay at your stay entire disposal in you need further information, Regards, Elisabeth Mendes General Manager

It was our first stay in this hotel and it was also our first stay in an hotel since the begining of COVID 19 . Safe stay with an very kind and professionnal team. The hotel is nice and very well located. They take care of your car so no need to find a parking place. You are in the city and you could walk to discover Lyon. Breakfast in your room or already prepared prior your arrival in the dining room. All the team is taking care of you. Thanks

So, I'm writing this without actually staying in this hotel, but had non-refundable reservations. I do understand the concept of non-refundable, but when one can't travel to that country and the hotel is closed, how can that reservation be NON-refundable???? We have been offered a voucher for future reservations, but not really in a time frame that is feasible. We have (starting today) 2 rooms booked for 5 days. From a travel agent friend, I was told this was the place to stay. I booked non-refundable because we were meeting up with a Viking cruise afterwards and I knew we'd go. Who knew there would be a pandemic!!! Our travel insurance did not cover this. Viking is so accommodating-they offered 125% back on a future cruise if booked within 2 years. Which we will do-but the Hotel Carlton Lyon-MGallery is not as accommodating. Think twice before booking here.

First of all hotel staff are amazing. We came really late at night - they quickly helped with parking, check-in was quick and flawless. They helped with every question a dummy tourist could have, and they had wonderful recommendations for food and other things we asked them for. The location of the hotel is perfect (for those who's getting into/from city in a car, and for all the touristy places around it). Rooms might not be the biggest you've had, but they are clean, have everything you're need and in perfect condition - just like the entire hotel itself. Next time i'm in Leon - I am staying at that hotel.
