We had already been in this hotel 10 years ago, and only on thing has changed. THE PRICE! Incredibly expensive for an old, not at all maintained hotel. Bath tubs are dirty, walls paint is falling, light in the rooms very limited and specially, very poor quality of service. Supposedly a four stars hotel with not even a bottle of...

We had stayed in this hotel some years ago and loved it although even then it was showing signs of deterioration. This visit has been a bad experience from start to finish, almost the only redeeming feature being the helpfulness of most of the staff who are obviously trying their best against all the odds. We did encounter one rather...

Let's start with the the positive. The young woman at the front desk and the porter were very nice and tried to help as best they could. (The woman who I think owned/ran the hotel was grumpy and, I think. just a nasty person.) The location was great. Most everything else was negative. The hotel was tired and needed new...

This is a terrible hotel! Definitely not a 4 star at all! Do NOT book this dump!!! It's a total depressing piece of crap! Upon checking in, there was only 1 girl working at the front desk, she had to go help another hotel guest park and carry her bag for a long time; we waited for a long time,...

The hotel is located at the foot of the hill with Notre-Dame church at one of these very tiny and narrow streets. Thus to reach it from the airport takes a bit of time if using public transport (express tram from the airport goes to Gare Port-Dieu, next bus or metro), otherwise taxi for 40 minutes and 60 EUR. The...

We first came to the Tour Rose in October 2005 and returned this year. Our impression remains the same: super romantic, stunningly restored, perfectly placed for random strolls around the traboules, lots of yummy bouchons nearby. Truly a near-perfect place for a weekend away. WiFi is patchy (not bad, perhaps), the hotel is not easy to access by car (ditto),...

This is certainly a quirky and beautiful hotel. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. The location is great, but extremely difficult to find being inside the pedestrianised old town. Make sure you reserve parking if coming by car and get precise directions from the hotel - the receptionist was surprised when we finally did arrive, that...

We stayed in the hotel for a weekend getaway at a prefect sunny weekend. The location of the hotel is directly in the middle of the vieux Lyon. It's tricky to drive there with your car, as you drive on the small narrow walking streets. The hotel offers parking which is strange because your car goes into a big elevator...

Rooms do not have numbers… they have names. Just as well, as each is different and unique in its character. I was graciously… assigned the top floor suite. Marble bathroom, wet bar and tastefully appointed cozy seating and sleeping area. (That made it up for the empty fridge… ☺) My business partner (with whom I was attending a work event...

Hotel is right in the center of the old town, in the pedestrian area. Rooms comfortable, well decorated and service is efficient. No frills but everything works and is clean. Rates are very reasonable for Lyon.
