This small hotel has an enormous amount going for it - especially the host, M. Olivier Maisonnasse, Manager and Owner. He is without doubt the stand-out host we have ever come across in all our travels. He greets all his customers cheerfully, checks on your day, provides recommendations, assistance and advice and does so with genuine interest in ensuring the... More

Excellent place to explore Lyon. Several excellent restaurants in walking distance. Next to the hotel are a velo rental station and the tram station. Rooms are small but quiet and AC helps to cool down. TV with several programs. Very good breakfast with cereals, yoghurt, ham & cheese. However the difference to other places are the friendly owner and staff... More

This is a 2 star hotel but with the enthusiastic greeting and help of the owner, Olivier, it rates 5 stars. The rooms are small but have all that you need. Beds are comfortable and there is air conditioning! And I feel certain if there was anything else you needed Olivier would try his best to provide. The hotel is... More

The 'Hotelo' is a nice old building, right in the centre of Lyon. Parking is possible in the vicinity.. The rooms are rather small (nr 8) and nice. The staff was outstanding in helping us getting around the city. Good english explanation and really interested. Breakfast very, very good.. generous and nice quality, good products.

We had a wonderful stay in Lyon at the Hotelo and feel so blessed to have found this gem based on the comments of other TripAdvisor reviewers. It is very well located, just on the other side of the parking garage and road from the Lyon Perrache station. To get to the hotel exit the station, walk down the stairs... More

We spent just one night in Hotelo and we were very satisfied. First of all the staff was very nice and helpful. As we checked in early, we couldn't go into the room right away. We left our car right next to the hotel while we got our luggage into the lobby, then drove the car into the private parking... More

After fifteen away from the city, our family needed a centrally located spot for one night - we found a gem! We reserved the family room and it had everything we needed for a one night stop, including a delicious breakfast. Everything about this hotel update speaks to great style and attention to detail. I hope it won't be another... More

We had a family room which was spacious, clean and quiet. Walking distance to the shopping district and the old town. Given plenty of information including a recommendation for a great restaurant. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Olivier singlehandedly demonstrates how service can make a 2 star hotel feel like a 4-5 star stay. The many chats we had with him made us feel welcomed to the city. The hotel has all the basic amenities one requires and is located a short walk from the old town and very close to the main station. Wifi was strong,... More

We had two rooms for two nights at the Hotelo. It was perfect for us - quiet, cute, within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The rooms are small, but the beds comfortable. The few small things that the rooms were lacking were more than made up for by the fantastic staff, especially Olivier. He had so many... More
