We stayed at this hotel between 2nd April- 8th April 2022. I just cannot express enough how the staff, and our stay at this hotel made our entire holiday. When we arrived after having been severely delayed they were waiting for us outside the hotel to take our cases in. I was then offered fresh milk and teabags to make a cup of tea in my room, and told that a table was waiting for us in the restaurant when we were ready to eat. I was travelling on my own with my three children, so was slightly apprehensive, but I could not have asked for more. Breakfast was fabulous, and we enjoyed our evening hot chocolate‘s next to the fire in the lounge with heavy snow outside. When we were heading out for evening meals in the snow the hotel minivan and driver dropped us where we wanted to go, and arranged to pick us up again. The views were just sensational, we had interconnecting rooms and my eldest son had a view of the village and we could see the main slopes, and I had a view straight onto the slopes, with a lovely balcony. Are used the spa every day, there is a very large spa pool / plunge pool and sauna. Robes and fresh towels and slippers are all provided. The hotel was able to arrange the ski passes for us from reception, and in the boot room we had everything we needed from the on-site ski shop. The staff here were also amazing and each day helped to put on the children’s boots and when we were ready to leave our skis were on a rack outside ready to go. We had unexpected good weather and we are able to buy suncream in the shop, and the children were also given chocolate eggs each morning for their snack which was a lovely touch ! This hotel is ski to your door so we simply stepped outside and were able to ski down to La Crossiette were the main cable cars to access both Courchevel and the three valleys were 30 seconds away! It was as easy to ski back to the door directly, or with children or less experienced skiers or if you missed the turning it is easy to get a button lift from the centre to ski back to the door. However, as the title alludes the jewell in the crown of this hotel was its staff. Sylvie Was amazing and literally couldn’t do more to help us from booking restaurants to giving an advice on where to go with the children. Camille was also wonderful both at breakfast and at dinner. The other staff were just as superb although I cannot remember their names! They genuinely made our holiday, and our children were welcome at all times. I am a discerning traveller and have stayed in many five-star hotels across the road, but this hotel was up there and in fact in many ways above these for its personal service! I cannot wait to stay there again, and certainly will next year!…
The hotel is very well designed (which creates a unique vibe), extremely well located (true ski-in ski-out), and comfortable. The staff brings great energy led by the general manager Sylvie - who is a class act herself. Generally, the team goes out of their way to make sure guests have a great experience. The ski shop led by Schoup - a one-of-a-kind mountain original. Pricing is reasonable in the context, no requirement to have dinner at the hotel on half board leaving you free to explore the town's ample dining options. Sufficient in-house /room service options for when you are feeling lazy For some who is as picky as me, there is hardly anything to complainn about. And an expected refurb in summer 2023 will likely address those (i.e. shower not fully enclosed).
It is a lovely, small, family run hotel just on the slope. Pros: - spacy rooms with balconies facing the slope - Perfect location for skiers (ski in - ski out) - quite good location for non skiers - charming wooden decor - extremely wide choice of food for breakfast (as for french standards) - well qualified staff at ski shop (with a very unusual sense of humor which can be offensive for somebody but for me it was amusing and the most import at thing is that he really knows his job) - coffee machine and kettle in the room - free shuttle to give you a ride around the city whenever you want - beautiful open space lobby where you can chill after skiing or just spend a few minutes leaning back on leather sofas coming back from a walk. Cons: - room was extremely dark after the sunset. I wouldn't risk packing my suitcase in the evening because I would probabely loose half on my staff there... Same with bathroom where putting make up on is jeopardy! - not enough storage space in bathroom (I had to put a chair in to place a comb etc) - there Water shortages (they told us that it was the problem all ober the town but who knows...). We were cut from hot Water for 12hours!!! We stayed in room n. 303 which had quite big baclony with a sunbed and an amazing view facing the slopes. WC and a separate bathroom. Very sunny. 2 wardrobes and much more storage space. …
We stayed there for one week during Christmas period 2021. The location for the hotel is outstanding, just 5' walk from Croisette. The staff was tremendously friendly - we really appreciated their professionalism. In terms of Covid situation, everyone was wearing mask. Breakfast was qualitative and very tempting to try everything. The concierge of the hotel was a partner for us. They helped us for making restaurant reservations in the village (their suggestions were always to the point), and they manage all we needed to return to our country (rapid tests etc). Sylvie (the manager of the hotel), is always around and accessible - she takes breakfast every morning with the guests ! The guys in the ski room support everyone with ski tips for the area. Rooms are always clean and very cozy. Theirs size is normal for France... I don't find any reason to try something else for my next visit in Courchevel. It is a highly recommended hotel.…
The Hotel is Amazing , Wonderful and super friendly Manager . We were upgraded to suite . The Room is Clean and decent , Ski in and out and amazing location! .The breakfast is so delicious and a lot of variety . The spa is clean and nice massage. Overall we highly recommend this Hotel.
Just finished a week long ski trip with my family. The first time to Courchevel 1850. Screened many hotel options and took 3VL as a cautious since there are many pricy choices. What a wonderful experience it turned out! Nice staff lead by a very friendly, resourceful and organized lead lady. Room was ample by European ski standard. We had 4 big suitcases that fit. The ski room was captained by a friendly and helpful professional. It was really a plus to have the rental on site. Breakfast very rich. Lobby cozy. Tastefully furnished. Ski-in and ski-out. Great location, right around the town square corner. We will be back. Highly recommended.
We spent 5 nites in march, since we booked last minute we paid too much, there was no other choice. The hotel is nice, staff very friendly and excellent location. The room a bit small, but very confortable. The spa pool is ok, the saunas are very good. The only issue that I had was that they were very cheap. First, they give only 1 bottle of water per stay, makes no sense at all. Than, they tell you if you take the shampoo or body wahs you will be charged, wowww, very cheap. You are not allowed t ask for an omelete nor any type of egg in breakfast, which is included, because you will be charged. Eat only what is there... Frankly, I felt money abused, I paid a lot and no water nor eggs in breakfast?? Not again...
Great location. The boot room backs right out onto the piste and the hotel is walking distance from many restaurants and shops. The bathroom in the hotel is lovely and very spacious and the beds in the room are very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning has many options and is very good and the staff are great and very helpful with everything. They are happy to help with your skis and boots in the morning and the boot room is warm and has places to hang your boots and sliding stands for your skis. There is a shuttle that can take you to restaurants and the the staff helped us with booking the restaurants too.
I stayed at the hotel with my spouse for 4 nights in December (2018). In summary a fantastic hotel with newly renovated rooms all to a 5* standard with exceptional service in a superb location. Everything about the stay was perfect. The hotel arranged our restaurant reservations and there is even a Ski hire shop inside the hotel in which the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is ski in ski out and in the centre of the Courcheval 1850 village. What was particularly impressive it that they offer a free taxi service that can be asked for at any time during the day and evening in case you want to venture out further. The breakfasts are simple but delicious. The mini pain chocolat and madeleines were the highlight for me. The hotel also has a wonderful spa (Sauna, steam room Jacuzzi and all!) which was free to use and a good break after a long day skiing. - We will definitely be returning next year.…
Everything about our stay was perfect, from beginning to end. The hotel arranged transportation for us to and from the airport, and made dinner reservations for us each night (thank you Sylvie!). We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the penthouse suite, which has a fireplace and great views. The breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant is sooooo delicious (best waffles ever!). Highly recommend you go each morning. And there’s a ski shop INSIDE the hotel with a knowledgeable staff who will take care of all your needs... and you can ski in and out right from the shop!! Everyone at the hotel is super friendly and attentive. We had the best stay, will definitely be returning for another visit.
