Stunning location. Comfortable, quiet rooms. Food good and plentiful. Staff very good. Great base for hiking and climbing in the beautiful mountains. Special mention for Danny, what a nice person, great people skills. Holly the Ingham's rep also excellent. The cooks come out for a chat and the waiting on staff are really pleasant. Room was always cleaned well. No... More

This is a wonderful hotel to stay at if you like good food, great service, excellent company and a wonderful view. Although parts of the hotel are a little tired,it does not detract from the quality of the stay. Excellent staff managed by Danny and Angus, Dylan the head chef, Paddy the pastry chef and Holly the rep. All very... More

I can only reiterate all the positive remarks made in previous reviews. Whilst the hotel itself is not 4 star luxury the Inghams team made it a 4 star experience. We had a wonderful time at La Sapiniere and were very sad to say goodbye to Chamonix, and the lovely people we had met, when our week ended. The hotel... More

It was purely by chance that we ended up in Chamonix on this family holiday with my two daughters, 22 and 20. While confident it would suit my husband and I, I was anxious that it wasn't an ideal holiday choice for the girls. However from the moment we arrived the warmth of the welcome alongside the vitality and friendliness... More

I returned home from a 7 day holiday at La Sapiniere 2 days ago and wish I'd booked 2 weeks. The hotel rooms were very basic but clean and serviced everyday, the view from the balcony was probably one of the best in Chamonix with a beautiful view of Mont Blanc. Meals were served in dining room which was spacius... More

We are seven days into a fortnight's stay and cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful little hotel. We arrived at ten o'clock at night (hoping for a sandwich if we were lucky) to be offered a delicious three course meal with two bottles of wine. This set the tone for the holiday which has got better and better each... More

We needed a comfortable and good value hotel to use as a base for walking throughout the Chamonix valley for a week long trip. Hotel La Sapiniere fits perfectly. Excellent location, staff helpful and attentive beyond reproach, food adequate. The best value for money hotel I can recall staying at. I wouldn't give a second thought to staying at La... More

Sometimes it can be a mistake to return to a holiday destination but this was not one of those. Since our last visit four years ago, the hotel has undergone updating to bathrooms, bedrooms and communal areas to make it a very comfortable place to stay in possibly the best location in Chamonix. It is situated on the edge of... More

Two weeks in this hotel was fabulous. Danny the manager and all staff were brilliant. Meals were lovely with first class presentation. Chalet had great views with just a short walk from town centre. Travelling with a large walking group it was a great location for us all to visit all local attractions. We had all purchased passes for chairs... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Arguably the best located hotel in Chamonix. The Savoy nursery slopes are literally just over the road from the hotel, from where the Savoy téléski lift whisks you up to the Brévent gondola, to access one of the best intermediate areas in the resort.Alternatively, the ski-bus to Chamonix's other ski areas stops just 50m away. The hotel's attractive dining room has semi-circular bay windows with stunning views of Mont Blanc. Here you will enjoy Inghams great choice of menus and complimentary quality wines for dinner. Inghams offer the conviviality of larger tables for chalet-style dining with your fellow guests, or the opportunity to dine à deux should you wish. The atmospheric lounge/bar welcomes you for your pre-dinner apéritif and canapés, or to relax after dinner over coffee and a night-cap ... more   less
