This is such an unpleasant hut to be, that I recommend everyone to climb MB via another route. The manager (who is also the Tete Rousse hut manager) was horrible to me and obviously didn't care about my safety. The prices are a joke. Don't go there!

It’s a hard climb to reach it, and when there you are surrounded by folks who worked just as hard, and share the same goal for tomorrow morning. The setting is futuristic. Outstanding views. No running water but the do have toilet paper. Food is avail, and dinner was wonderful. Outstanding. Can’t believe they serve salmon at 3800 meters! WiFi is expensive. Some cellular reception by the windows, so you can get by without WiFi. Sleeping quarters was about 24 people per partition. Everyone wakes up at the same time, around 1:30-2AM. Breakfast was basic. Enjoy (if you can get there).

I consider this a great place to stay. The food was OK and the bed comfortable. Yes, there is no running water, drinking water is 7euros/1.5L, and there is no soap but remember, you are @ 3815m and anything is better than sh**ing in a WAG bag or sleeping on a rock. There are things that can be improved but overall I had a great stay at the refuge, submitted Mont Blanc and made it back safely and all this because I did not have to carry up: water, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tent, wag, food for two days and so on.

Absolutely disgusting, of the two days we were there both days the toilets would be filled beyond the seat height with faeces. To add to this only alcohol hand sanitiser is provided, and it should be added that majority of these were empty! Additionally the only drinking water available is at 7 euro per 1.5L plastic bottle.. Honestly why on earth use so much plastic at such a space aged beauty pageant building. Climbing in Nepal they would have bulk storage and pay per L of water supplied. Gets around the plastic wastage and takes little effort to change the world for the better. This place is an unhealthy mess. Never again will I recommend or stay there.

Stayed here both the night before and the night after our mont blanc summit. The refuge is very modern but does not have running water. Bottled water is 7 euro a bottle. Credit cards are accepted. The top floor dormetries are partitioned, but have no ceiling so noise travels! There are 2 breakfast sittings, 2am & 7am. This is rigidly adhered to! If you wish to cancel booking with less than 3 days notice it will cost approx 46 euro each I was told by a guide who enquired. The meals are typical of a refuge and adequate but remember you will need to buy drinking water.
