If you read the many reviews of Provence Paradise, the common thread, aside from the incredible beauty and authenticity of this comfortable property, is William. While you might not think your innkeeper can impact your travel experience, I believe he can. My husband and I have stayed at Provence Paradise three times now, and each time it is no exaggeration to say that William has made the difference. He goes out of his way to make sure you are well cared for. On this most recent visit, for us it was making our travel arrangements even as the virus was spreading and quickly changing the travel landscape. It was taking my husband to Marseille to return our rental car. It was picking us up before sunrise to catch a train. Yes, we love the delicious first night dinner at your own "hamlet," the fresh-baked pastries every morning, entertaining on your own garden terrace, wine and conversation poolside, and the many and varied activities and attractions. We have enjoyed it all over our three visits. But this is the kind of travel assurance you want. If things don't go the way you had planned, you want to know that someone "has your back." In Provence, that someone is William Moore and you will find him at Provence Paradise.

Provence Paradise feels like a second home to us after 10+ visits there. We have stayed in every unit at least once. The location in St. Remy de Provence puts it at the epicenter of adventures - Roman ruins, art history, the beautiful coastal towns like Cassis. I can't list them all, but you'll never be bored. Host William has become a friend. He's available for restaurant tips, sightseeing information, and pretty much anything a guest needs. We highly recommend a visit to Provence Paradise to experience the true French experience.

Susan and Ross, it was great to see you both again for TRANSHUMANCE ... goats, donkeys and provençal shepherds up and down our road, with a very much improved "méchoui" celebration to. put a cap on all of the festivities. We called this your "Swansong" visit to Provence Provence ...but you never know. Thanks for your kind words. Indeed, we have become good friends! That is super important to me! William

As so many have written, Provence Paradise is a fantastic resort/retreat. Starting with owner/host of the hamlet, William, the comforts and amenties are so wonderful. He is welcoming and very kind and helpful. The houses/cottages are amazing. We have visited twice (2017 and 2019) and found the facilities to be very comfortable, historic and filled with antiques and all the comforts. We look forward to our return. Travelers can be very confident of a wonderful stay, and visit to St Remy and nearby sites.

Every year I come back to Provence Paradise. This is the best week(s) of the year. How to describe? It is a lush beautifully landscaped property with Mas (old stone homes) that exude charm. While there are many cute towns around. I find I can spend the full day just walking into town along the canal, having lunch then returning to swim and relax. I have seen other places in the area, but nothing compares in terms of space, the attention to detail, the charm.

Lastly, and in no way the least, William is a big part too! He makes you sure you feel taken care of, be it morning croissants or tips on where to go.

If you can, book 2 weeks and I promise you wont regret it!

William, the ultimate host, waited for us when we were late (french trains!!). Brought us fresh bread and treats daily. Personally took my wife to the Dr when sick! Brought her chicken soup when confined to bed.
The accomodation is very good, location for visiting Provence perfect. 15 min walk to St Remy. Varied rooms to suit different families etc. I highly recommend this host for a weeks holiday..

What an amazing spot - a small enclave of houses on the outskirts of St Remy and really it’s own idyllic world. Not luxurious but lovely and relaxed. The owners are brilliant hosts, attentive and knowledgeable. The location is a gateway to many beautiful places.

A lovely property on the outskirts of St Remy, which is a great base for exploring the surrounding area. We loved the charm of the apartment. We stayed in Le Moulin apartment and it was quite spacious. Nice outside space but it was too warm during our visit to spend much time there. Laundry conveniently located just off courtyard. It was quiet and private. The perfect place for us,

We stayed with William two years ago and swore we would return. In fact, if I could find a way to come here a week in every season and always bring new people to it, I would. St. Remy de Provence is beautiful, and very centrally located in the region to see at least 2 to three weeks' worth of activities without cramming too much in. It's the perfect place to embrace the pace of life in Provence, which is calm, peaceful, the opposite of stress. We feel relaxed just thinking about it.
William had a vision over 10 years ago (and congratulations on 10 years in business) to take some medieval "falling down rubble" and refashion it to a compound with individual houses that are each private and cozy. Nothing sterile - everything you need, beautifully decorated. Our group consisted of 3 couples, and we rented La Bastide. Two couples were in the "main" part of the building, and one was in an attached unit, accessed by a different door from the outside. That unit had its own kitchenette, laundry, and salon, in addition to en suite bathroom and bedroom, and could be rented by itself. The main house was on two levels (the upstairs bedroom and loft area and laundry accessed by a slightly tricky staircase requiring me at 5'2" to duck coming down), the lower level comprised a salon, kitchen, bedroom, and stepped next to a sunroom and formal dining area. Outside we had a deck upon which we ate every breakfast and a few dinners. Every room had its own air conditioning - and as an American, I really mean AIR CONDITIONING, not some poor fan blowing around warm air like we have had in multiple 4 and 5 star hotels in Europe. Every room had its own bathroom, except for the upstairs loft. The loft had two daybeds, perfect for youngsters.
The pool area was our heaven. We were there when the jasmine lining the gorgeous grounds was in full bloom. The pool is saltwater, and William has a solar heater for the cooler seasons. There is also a hot tub. The area is large, with some grass, in addition to a bathroom and outdoor bar area with fridge and sink, and you can barbecue or snuggle up to a roaring outdoor fire in the other seasons. We made sure to have tour time then POOL TIME to relax most every day.
I have saved the best for last. William makes this place what it is. He is passionate about sharing the area with his guests. He has carefully and I suspect gleefully established relationships literally all over Provence and has arranged deals like free aperitif or dessert. He made reservations for us at restaurants throughout the area, to include at Cassis on the Med, where his reputation earned us saved chairs on their private beach. He has a French cell phone which calls him directly that he gives to his guests - we had to call to delay our reservations one time as we got lost on the way. He shared books and maps and his picture books showing the development of the rubble to the beautiful place we were sitting in - and this year he shared special activities. He arranged a COOKING CLASS with Maria, a local chef who met us at the weekly market, helped us shop for our food for the meal according to people's preferences or sensitivities, and then back at the compound, at a special "group" kitchen, she directed us in the prep of our amazing lunch.n In French. Only two of us spoke French (so we cheated) - half the fun is her dynamic enthusiastic charades game of showing and tasting. If you are offered this activity DO NOT HESITATE TO DO IT. It's so much fun.
Thank you William.
We will come back with reinforcements!

William Moore...owner, developer and host of Provence Paradise, otherewise known as "Au Moulin Entre Deux Mas", has created the mose serene place in Provence. A collection of six restored farm houses, have been transformed into works of art. The website is [--] and the pictures do not even do it justice. But the best part of this little piece of heaven is the propietor, William Moore. He goes out of his way to make absolutely sure your stay in this region is top notch. From fresh baked goods delivered every morning, to the welcoming dinner waiting for you after a long journey, William redefines the word "hospitality". I searched a long time on the internet for a weekly rental and Provence Paradise was middle of the road as far as price....but extremely great value with fully equiped kitchens and decor that makes you want to just move in!Can't wait to return.

I've thought long and hard about making this review, however the reviews are the reason we decided to stay at Provence Paradise, so I feel I need to make the review.

We were given a tremendous welcome and William is certainly an excellent host. You can clearly see why this property has a vast number of repeat bookings. William clearly is a lot of the reason for this. The nice touches like the pastries are a lovely touch in particular. If a little hard on the waste line ;-)

We stayed in the L'Orangerie and were a family of 4. Children aged 5 and 7. What struct us immediately was that there was just SO much crammed into this little apartment. So many trinkets that there was not enough space to really live in it. I think the theme has been taken a little too far.

We had seen the pictures on the website and what hadn't come across was that the actual quality of the furniture etc wasn't actually as high a standard as we'd expected. The bathroom was very poor quality and the shower, for example, barely held together.

The master bedroom and in particular, the bed, were the biggest disappointment. We like a hard bed, however this was so hard that it actually bruised both our hips and we found it very hard to sleep comfortable.

We book many privately owned villas and ski chalets and have had excellent success. For the the price paid, we do feel that the quality of the accommodation was really not high enough and the comfort levels were not indicative of the level the property is sold at. With 100% 5 star reviews (at the time) we really did expect more and were surprised so many people would be OK with the L'Orangerie.

The pool was very pleasant, however there could do with there being more sun beds as it's an issue at certain times of the day when there are not enough for the number of people staying.

Finally I'm still not comfortable with the policy for not placing a price on the website. It makes me feel very sceptical that there is no transparency around what cost is charged. Our friends had an incredible 6 bedroom 3 storey townhouse with stunning private pool / equipment and furnishings and they paid only €600 more than us, in a very small apartment.

All in all it's quite hard to summarise. We loved the area, the food, the wine, however Provence Paradise just wasn't at the standard we would expect given the marketing.
