Detailed Reviews
A lovely place to stay with a good pool and quiet spaces. The staff were very helpful but there is no bar or restaurant so any meal is a car drive away. The taxi services around St Rémy are either non-existent or stupidly expensive for a 10 minute drive.

Thank you madam, we are delighted that you enjoyed our establishment. Indeed, our hotel does not offer a restaurant but only snacks with local products. Our reception team will also help you with the reservation of your restaurants near the hotel during your stay.

To choose Mas Valentine to start the holiday was a wise and pampering desicision. The serenity, most kind and wonderfully welcoming service with great breakfasts and evening snacks renewed my well being. I happily give a high score and recommend also the spa treatments. It is a whole new world to have the massage under a tree with a sound world of pigeons plus other birds and cascas with the mild wind to transform the mind and body into pure happiness. My stress levels got gone also by swimming in a good size pool so I simply could not ask for more. The room was a good size space and Interior very pretty as well. Thank You so very much for Mas Valentine and all the amazingly kind people working there.

We stayed here as a group of 6 adults at the beginning of March, 2022. Our room, while small and spartan, was extremely comfortable, and the shower was excellent. The two main highlights of the stay were the reception staff (Lavinia and Marianne) and the breakfast. The last two days, we had the hotel to ourselves, and the staff did not cut corners with the breakfast. Fresh croissants, eggs to order, wonderful cold cuts and cheese, yogurts, coffee, fresh juices, etc.
My only complaint, and the motive for only 4 stars, is the housekeeping. Very lackadasical. We stayed four nights, and my "Nespresso" coffee cup was never cleaned. I had to ask for additional water when mine ran out. One of our party ran out of toilet paper and had to get some from us, as all of the staff had already left. It seems like the housekeeping was merely making the bed and changing the towels, which considering the property was empty, is tough to wrap my head around.
Again, Lavinia was especially helpful, outgoing and extremely professional. I can't give her high enough marks.
Iron out the housekeeping glitches and this is a 5 star property!

As other reviewers have suggested this is not really a hotel as you cannot get a meal in the evening and there are no staff in the building after 7pm. Is the 4 star status self-styled? I think the rating system is different in France. Nothing too significant to add to the pros and cons described by other guests. Pros: there is an excellent pool (water a little cold still in early summer) and a spacious area beside it for lounging; also a delightful seating area to sit and eat breakfast outside. Cons: there was some traffic noise, though it was not too intrusive. All the roads were busier than I expected around here. Until the last morning of our stay, when some nectarines and apricots appeared, the fresh fruit available at breakfast was uninspiring. Disappointing when you see the beautiful fruit for sale round about.
The property was a short drive from town and we found some handy free parking about half way. A walk all the way would be possible but would be along main roads for a good part. We stayed in a junior suite which had its own entrance to the side of the main building. There was no doorway to the main building itself and although the room was good it had perhaps a slight chalet type feel because of this. There was a small private space outside the room enclosed by a hedge but the area lacked the atmosphere of the main outside seating area described above.
My only real criticism is that for me the price of a stay was just too high for what was on offer. There was no discount for a multiple night stay (as you are likely to get in a hotel), and even though I can gauge this is not a cheap part of the world to stay in, overall I felt the property did not quite live up to the price tag it came with.

Breakfast: nice buffet but the quality is average
- Road noise nearby (difficult to relax at the pool)
- The pool shower is out of order (the shower head is obstructed by scale).
The pool is not heated. The water is very cold and the whole is poorly maintained, including the surroundings. Dirty water full of insects on the surface.
- Bedroom (Suite with access via the garden): the garden furniture was uncomfortable and dirty.
We cleaned them up. The room is very poorly soundproofed. Little light, probably to "hide" dust (corners, under the bed,...).
Insects and cobwebs, dirty chairs (halos on fabrics), sheets not clean...
light always on when we return (is it ecological?)
- Bathroom: The shower mixer is calibrated, making it difficult to use.
- Lack of information at reception / non-transparent communication. The price did not correspond to the Award shown on Booking, i.e. because of a communication problem between them. We still had to pay some extra money. Arrogant receptionist.
- Cleanliness of the toilet (room): presence of dust cloths near the door.
- Tassimo coffee machine: the water tank is fully scaled, making the water cloudy. We could not use the machine or the kettle to heat the water.
- Value for Award should be questioned
Perhaps the Inn will respond to this comment in their own way, to which I can no longer reply or justify myself later. The fact is that we loved Provence, but we left with bitter taste.
So yes, for now you have a good average rating on different platforms, but let’s be honest: will you dispute the scale, dust, dirt, cold and dirty pool, lack of communication regarding the Final Award (I remind you that you confirmed to me the lack of communication!!!),...?

Magnificent hotel in a wooded park with swimming pool located a stone's throw from Saint-Rémy de Provence.
the welcome is warm and the staff are attentive.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and cleanliness is impeccable.
Small downside, there are no shelves in the bathroom to store toiletries. Superb

We were a group of 12 golden age friends. This 4* star hotel has no lift and upon arrival there was no one to help us with the luggage. The air condition in the rooms
had been disconnected and upon opening a window we had an attack of mosquitoes in the rooms. Following our request, the management did agree to connect the system but disconnected it again on our last night. During the day there was 1 nice girl at the front desk but she was unauthorised to cater to even the smallest tequest (such as, hangers..) From 19:00 on, there was no employee at the hotel (which is out of the town center) and no phone number available to call in case of emergency. The hotel garden is nice with tables and chairs to relax and enjoy the surroundings, but it was so dirty and neglected, that the last thing one wanted was to sit there. In short, though the hotel looks nice, I recommend to keep away from it. to.

Our stay at Mas Valentine was incredible! The property was beautiful and the grounds/room were so well kept... not to mention the morning breakfast is absolutely divine. Marie Anne was incredibly helpful helping us set up reservations, spa appointments, excursions, etc. _ I can't say enough things about how amazing and thoughtful she was to all her guests. The hotel is so close to town which was absolutely charming -- filled with some of the best food I've had in my life. My husband and I often talk about how we can't wait to return for another visit. This was truly the Southern France experience I hoped for and definitely got. You will not be disappointed!

We were disappointed with Mas Valentine and consider it to be considerably overpriced compared to stays in similar properties in Provence. Whilst the staff were lovely and the building itself is gorgeous, the premium price is not matched with the level of comfort, quality of room/linens/finishes etc. The ingredients offered for breakfast were standard supermarket fare, again not matching the price charged. Overall, it lacked ambience.

Our stay at Mas Valentine was wonderful. It is a beautiful country chateau that is well kept and provides great tranquility. The pool and reserved jacuzzi were nice amenities. The concierge in particular was very helpful and provided great recommendations. I would highly recommend it.

I don’t believe there’s anything like that at the premises.
Yes, in each room.
I also believe that there are designated smoking areas. The management is very helpful!
