My wife and I stayed at the Chateau des Alpilles for a week in August and would highly recommend a visit. We stayed in Le Loft which is a recently renovated Junior Suite and could not be faulted. We tremendously enjoyed dinning outside the front of the Chateau each evening and the food was superb. The location is a little... More

We had 8 amazing nights at the Chateau with my wife and 3 young children (6,7,9) in The Chapel which was perfect for our needs. The rooms were wonderfully appointed and very clean. The setting has to be seen to be believed. Expansive lawns, beautiful plane trees, great swimming pool (if a little bracing), tennis courts and the wonderful 19th... More

My wife and I just spent three great nights here. I can really only think of positives. First, it is located about a mile outside St. Remy, which is a nice little town with plenty of good restaurant options and a good Van Gogh history. You can spend a day in St. Remy doing the historical sites and shopping. The... More

We stayed one night at Ch. Des Alpilles in the main building (#12). The room was clean and spacious. Furnishings are traditional. It was reasonably quiet and had a nice view of the grounds. The restaurant was a very nice surprise. We had dinner on the terrace outside. The service, food and wine were all excellent. Staff were all friendly... More

When we arrived at the Chateau we thought we'd arrived in paradise. The cicadas were signing, the gardens looked stunning in the dappled light and our rooms in the main house (interconnecting) were gorgeous. Unfortunately the overall experience didn't continue to be so blissful, but that's not to say it was bad. We stayed with our two young children (2... More

Dear Madam, We thank you for the praise you made about the Château des Alpilles at your arrival. We are really glad to hear such compliments about our establishment. Nevertheless, we have to tell you that children are welcome at Château des Alpilles. In the 4 Ha grounds, children really enjoy the place with waterways. However, we have to do... More

Le Château des Alpilles is one of the few places, in my experience, that truly lives up to its excellent reputation. We visited with our two young children, and stayed in "the apartment." The setting is lovely, tranquil, and serene. Beautiful grounds, a stunning driveway overhung with a canopy of old plane trees, nice pool area, and very pretty buildings.... More

My husband and I have stayed a few times in this hotel. We love it. Peaceful, magical setting, great service and beautiful food in the restaurant. Dinner at this hotel is a treat. It has all the ticks for us and we wil continue to go back.

This was our third trip to the Chateau and with each trip it keep getting better. Rooms in the main building are spacious as are the baths (double skinks). It had been two years since we were last there but some of the staff still remembered us by name and city. One day after a rather large lunch we wanted... More

As you arrive up the tree lined driveway - you know you made the right decision. No crowds - elegant, quiet, romantic and special. This is the picture in my mind of what the 'real' South of France was supposed to be! The rooms are enormous for european standards - a true estate. The serivce is quiet, but excellent. The... More

My wife and I just left Chateau des Alpilles after staying there for two nights. The setting is beautiful and relaxing with large comfortable rooms and incredible service. When we first arrived after a very long drive from Sarlat the staff was were very helpful in getting us settled. It is a few minutes drive, or a 15 minute walk,... More
