There was only a twin room available, overlooking the side street (not the port). It was a regular size, the bathroom was somewhat bigger than the other ones we had in France. It is more a good 3 stars hotel than a 4 stars hotel... But not very expensive (around 89 euros on a regular night for sidestreet view). Clean,... More

Poor service, elevator in bad condition, carpet dirty, very noisy, no power in my room several times, stain in bathroom. I was asked to pay for a window broken by soccer fans during Eurocope 2016 because my daughter was watching from the window. Very rude staff. Claim to be 4 Stars, not worthy for even 1. Don't go there, very... More

The hotel and Room is quite small but we had the view directly to the Vieux port and it was so beautiful. The location is excelent. You can walk to many places or take a tour around by train (kind for sightseeing) within walking distance. Breakfast was quite boring.

I visited marseille for 4 days in business staying at the Grand Tonic. It was a decent hotel. Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Great location. Would ask for a port view if you go. Breakfast is ample. Little choice but enough to start the day. Air conditioning was valued for the time I stayed. Would definitely go back.

Just returned from a lovely stay at this hotel. We never heard any noise from our room and we were amongst all the England fans enjoying themselves at the euros. The hotel was clean and a great location. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was nothing to write home about but there's a McDonald's next door if you're still hungry.... More

We chose this hotel as it was reasonably priced and right by the old port area, but we a little concerned by some of the negative reviews. We were therefore delighted to be met by very friendly and helpful staff and shown to our room (102) overlooking the old port - we requested this when booking. The room was spacious... More

While the hotel is in a good location there is no place to stop a car and unload your luggage. Also the street at the front is a very busy street and is very noisy all night so sleep is not an option. The rooms are basic and our shower leaked over the floor. The staff were very officious and... More

The rooms were small with poor air-conditioning. AC is a must in July. Hotel is located above a McDonald's so there's plenty of greasy burger stink wafting into the rooms. Keep you windows closed. The breakfast is OK but expensive. Walk round the corner to a bakery instead,

Stayed for one night in April. Great location and relatively cheap. Bedroom was fine but lobby had a major water leak that went on for 12 hours - nobody seemed to help the poor receptionists get it sorted. Biggest downside was the 14 Euro breakfast...cold scrambled eggs and raw bacon..probably best to go out for breakfast.
