Place has stunning view of the port! It is just magical. You can see Notre Damme and down the port full of ships and life. The hotel has also great location and is full of colors. The reception is very solid and breakfast room very calming. Breakfast is nice with good neat choices. What place needs is bit better investment on toilets. The one we had for suite was very small. The parking is some 200 meters away and no bell boy or people who would help you with luggage. So, brace yourself for some walk with luggage. If you stay for a night I think is ok, but more challenging.

We had an absolutely fantastic time and felt really well looked after by the staff at La Residence du Vieux Port. The view from our prestige room on the 5th floor was one of the best views in Marseille with the cathedral on the hill in centre vision behind the yachts. We loved the breakfast at the hotel and we thought it was worth the premium. The staff provided amazing support in organising airport pick ups and suggesting itineraries. Just in a long weekend we managed to visit the old town, the prison island, enjoy the port markets and even go to a day trip to the beautiful town of Cassis through the national park. The port is full of activity all day, even in the early morning hours so if you have sensitivity to sounds, do take ear plugs. The room was clean, the bed was absolutely superb and the bathroom was perfectly fine. The only thing about the bathroom was that it took us a while to work out how the bath tabs work, but otherwise all was parfait. Merci beaucoup - we will be back!

Nice stay at La Residence. Our room was spacious enough, with comfy beds, quite spacious bathroom with unique shower area (a bit challenge in the shower area as there was no shower curtain nor shower door and bathroom floor would be all wet). The view from our room was amazing - Vieux-Port and Notre Dame. The room design was outdated and carpet was old and worn, it gave us a different feeling, but overall the room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and had many options. Hotel location is perfect, right by the Vieux-Port with so many restaurants/cafes and shops around and short walk to many attractions.

I spent 4 days here in October vacationing with friends. The view from our room was simply amazing. Looking over the port at night was a lovely sight to see. The service was great. The check in and out process was fast and hassle free. This hotel also has breakfast every morning. I rated this hotel a 4 because of the bathroom. The bathroom was a shower/tub combination. The tub was so high that it was almost hard to get into and out of it. If you are planning to visit I would recommend staying here.
