We loved our time spent at Hotel Peron and plan to stay there any time we return to Marseilles. It's an older place, but we prefer that sort of charming atmosphere over the sterility of today's hotels. In Hotel Peron we felt the essence of Marseilles with all its history and time-worn beauty. The room in which we stayed was... More

Whilst this hotel is old and in need of a refurb, it is undoubtedly charming and in an incredible location. It is also keenly priced. If it were refurbed to a high spec, you'd be paying 3 times as much. So, how is it charming? The owners and their elderly mother are on hand at all times to help and... More

We stayed 5 nights, in July. Very good location - overlooking the bay, next to wonderful water spots and yet close to the city centre and the old port. To move around, we used the city-sponsored bike program. Inside the hotel: insanely creative and old-fashioned design. yes, our room felt crammed, bedding should have been better, and so on. But,... A wonderful location, clean rooms. A great family run hotel. Such a friendly family, great breakfast, great recommendations for the city. I can't speak high enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The bathtubs are a little small and are more of a sit shower, but I felt it just added to the charm. It is a walk up... More

Hotel Peron, right on the Mediterranean Sea...A family run hotel, filled with charm and the atmosphere of an artist dream come true. Hotel Peron has baloneys, which you can pull a chair out from your room, and sit on the balcony, gazing at the sea, the sailboats, people swimming, and the ferries which go to Corsica. Algeria and other exotic... More

The hotel itself was in a beautiful location, overlooking the beautiful coast of the Mediterranean. Our train arrived a bit too early to check in, so we asked to leave our luggage and we would check back in later. The host insisted that we sit in the lobby and wait. The lobby was not very well kept, and had a... More

Let me start with how the location and the view from the hotel was excellent. I stayed there for 2 nights (originally planned for 3, but I switched hotels for the last night) on a business trip. The hotel was recommended by a French colleague who's been staying there for a while, and was telling me great things about this... More

Hotel Peron is ideally situated for a stunning sea views and only a 10 minute walk to port (or a bus only meters from the hotel). A family run hotel with charm Christine the front person is delightful, offering her advice and help whenever needed. I took a standard double room which is basic, clean and good value. When I... I adore Art Deco hotels and ones with a history to boot, positioned brilliantly on the corniche with billion-dollar views of Marseille's harbour. This is a gem because even though the busy Le Petit Nice is 10 minutes walk away, the noise of traffic is constant. The solution: close the soundproofed French doors to the wee balcony, and you can... More
