We appreciate natural beauty and terrific food -- both were in great abundance here. Shady lawns planted with old plum trees, fruit perfectly ripe. Walks on country lanes through vineyards, with blackberries just coming in. Best: good company and excellent local food at dinner and at breakfast (host Valere was a restaurant owner for years) around a big wooden table...

This was a beautiful B&B outside of Orange. Getting there was a bit challenging, but once there it was a great experience. The rooms have an interesting rustic/modern feel to them. You can tell you're staying in an old French home, but they've been updated well to have the amenities that you need when staying somewhere. The service here was...

We spent four nights at Le Mas Julien and it was just perfect! Valere is a great landlord and he gave us great tips to discover the region. The breakfast was very good, the rooms are clean and we can especially recommend the studio, which has a small kitchen and a private terrace. The garden and the pool are clean...

We spent 5 days at mas julien with valere as our host. The location is superb; central to the hill villages of Vaucluse,Avignon and in the middle of wine country. The room was delightful and clean, a real old provencal flavour but updated with modern conveniences. It also has wifi which we found a bonus. Valere was well armed with...

We felt incredibly fortunate to have found this little paradise, as well as the incredible host, Valere. Indeed, we stayed longer than expected, as the location is ideal for exploring nearby Avignon (15 minutes), Orange (5 min), Chateauneuf-du-Papes (7 minutes), etc. Valere knew just how to tailor our daily routine, and truly never led us astray. From fresh cherries off...

One night at LMJ after wine tours in Chateauneuf du Pape. Booked two rooms both were great. Beds comfortable, wifi good. Home and story behind it is great (ask to see pictures). Cloudy, cool day and was unable to enjoy pool/grounds which looked very nice. Communication via web/email was prompt and clear. Setting, Breakfast, Rooms, Host etc was great. Wife...

Wonderful host who will recommend resturants and cellars to visit in the area. Charming, spotlessly clean rooms and bathrooms. We fell in love with the place and would love to go back.

A beautifully converted rural cottage in the middle of the vineyards of Chateauneuf du Pape. The bedroom we stayed in was large and furnished to a very high standard with a spotless bathroom. It was full of country trinkets to give it a charming finishing touch. The breakfast was continental and delicious, although we embarrassed ourselves slightly on the first...

Beautifully set in the middle of vineyards. Nice pool and gardens. Room understated good taste. Valere was attentive, helpful and genuinely interested host. Also a great cook. Nice breakfasts outside. Highly recommended and great value for money. Much superior to similarly billed places in the area.
